Go there at night, its marvellous illuminated. Friends of mine always park on the far side so they are able to walk by on their way to the city. La Seu, the vast cathedral, was originally built on a previous mosque from 1229 ’till 1601, and was later partly restored by Antoni Gaudí. With The Parc de la Mar (Park of the Sea) up infront its a fascinating place.
I love sitting on the other side at the Parc de Mar outside the Guiness Bar (too bad its not a restaurant or some other more fitting place), which offers the possibility to sit there with the best view and a glass of wine.
John Doe The wine may not suit the Guiness Bar in my back, but it sure suits the cathedral in front ;)
I’d kick out this ‘cheap-led-blingbling-place’ anyways and offer the place to someone like Marc Fosh or Koldo Royo.

5 Stars of course. Absolutely inevitable on a sight seeing tour through Palma.
a very beautilful cathedral in the centre of palma. well worth a visit.
What a wonderful place and an impressive history.
I can recommend it.
WE love Palma, not the one which delights the bucket-and-spade-wielding, Union Jack-waving masses, but the one that has served as a playground for the rich and famous since the island’s 1930s heyday. Despite the thousands that pass through its airport every day, My heart belongs very definitely to the latter, with a stylish array of boutique hotels and high-class restaurants gracing its beautifully preserved medieval buildings. The cathedral is one of my most fav places, even my kids were in awe - not something that happens all that often !

Visable from land and sea this gothic cathederal is fabulous. Right in the heart of Palma it dominates the city and skyline. At night the building is lit and is truely beautiful. Go, visit , enjoy this fabulous architrecture.
This is a stunning cathedral which can be seen from quite a way down the sea and im sure from the massive yachts which occupy the harbour have a great view of this. At night the cathedral really comes into its own and really stands out from everything else. I am very glad to have seen this place and it is really one of those where you have to see it to really get a feel for it. Brilliant architecture and culture make it a must see attraction if you are in palma de mallorca or mallorca as a whole even!
Amazing Architecture! a beautiful place to visit and home to the BIGGEST candelabra I’ve ever seen, lol.
Beautiful Gothic Cathedral in the heart of Palma.
Fantastic architecture with a great view over the Bahia de Palma
