I took the Bollywood class with Dance Ihayami last term and I absolutely LOVED IT!!! The music just makes me want to dance and our teacher is very patient and great at breaking everything down.  Before you know it, you've worked every muscle in the body (even ones you didn't know you had) without ever wiping a smile off of your face!!  What more could I ask for?!

I really recommend this class and can't wait for the next term to start!

I was fortunate enough to get on the guest list for the Bollywood Dance Class and was really looking forward to it.  Unfortunately, a few days before the event I hurt my ankle rather badly but I wasn't going to let that put me off.  I was intrigued to see what it was all about and thought I'd go along anyway... you never know, I might even be able to fit in a couple of moves!!  Sadly this was not to be, however, I had an amazing time watching everyone learn the routine and when the instructor put the music on I was foot-tapping like mad (my good leg you understand!!).  I so wanted to get up and join in - I did try a couple of the 'arm' movements, but it's just not the same when you have to remain seated!

The instructor was fantastic - very patient and if anyone was struggling with a particular move then he spent the time showing them how to make it better.  He would teach each dance step individually before putting small pieces together eventually culminating in the whole dance at the end.  It was great to watch but I really would have liked to have been a part of it.

As well as being something enjoyable to do it is also really good for fitness/losing weight (I'm not one for the gym unfortunately) as there were a few comments about sweating/being out of breath but even that didn't put me off.  I am seriously thinking about signing up for the whole course - and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested.

I went to my first ever Bollywood Cardio Dance class here last Wednesday and thought it was brilliant!

Admittedly I was a bit apprehensive as my co-ordination is awful and I failed miserably at Zumba however straight away the teacher put us at ease, he was so friendly and patient!

Any dance/cardio class I have been to before it's just a case of following the teacher and hoping for the best but our teacher was great and showed us the routine in small sections which made it a lot easier to learn.

It really is good fun, the music is great and it's a fantastic sociable way to keep fit!

I knew within 15 minutes that I wanted to sign up for more!

You have to try it!

I went to the Bollywood class and absolutely loved it! The teacher was very patient and encouraging and the music was uplifting and great to work up a sweat to, which I certainly did. The teacher taught us each move individually and made sure we understood it, before putting together the whole routine, and when at the end it all came together there was a great sense of achievement. I can see this as being a great way to lose weight, if that's your reason for doing it, but it's also great fun and something completely different.

I went to a Bollywood Dance Class here and really enjoyed it. It was hard work but I didn't have that "when well this be over" feeling I get at some exercise classes! The teacher was lovely and I really liked the Bollywood music.

The only suggestions I would have - the room was incredibly hot and I could have done with a few breaks to grab some water and a door/window open, and also having a warm-up section with no music on whatsoever is a bit uncomfortable. Other than those minor gripes I would definitely recommend it as a fun way to keep fit.

I was invited along to try this out and, while I fancied it, I was a bit apprehensive.  However, why I do not know as it was great.  The teacher was so patient with us (although I did think that it must be going through his head "what have I agreed to here") and very kind and encouraging.  He didn't make us feel stupid, we all had a laugh, often at each other but always together, and he kept telling us how well we were doing.  It wasn't an easy class physically - although you didn't appreciate how physical it was until you stopped to learn a step and realised how out of breath you were, and Bollywood dancing is a lot more complicated than it looks (I didn't know my arms could bend that way) but, at the end, when we were all dancing together and (mostly) in time.........what a buzz!  The music was a great help too - how could you not throw yourself into it with such great music.  Even my 15 year old, who came with me, loved it!  I can't wait to go back and have even committed myself to joining the course - beats sitting in the house watching Eastenders that's for sure!

The Bollywood dance class was brilliant. We got drawn in to adding half a dozen moves together and somewhere along the line, sweated more than any gym class, but were still enjoying ourselves. Each move got faster and more complex as hands, arms and facial expressions got added to the stomping feet (the only dance class where we behave like a herd of elephants and get praised for it!). The feet were counterbalanced by very sweet upper body moves and I thought we looked great after just one session. Somehow it was easier to pick up than Zumba and worked the body harder - without appearing to so do.
I'd seriously think about committing to a series of classes. The teacher was great - very gentle and patient, and praising. I think he enjoyed our enthusiasm despite our lack of skill. We didn't half look good by the time he'd finished with us.

So, Ive always been a huge bollywood fan - HUGE! Ive been to musicals, go to the movies, love the music and go to the Mela every year and thought why not try actually putting my money where my mouth is and giving it a go with a beginners bollywood dance class and I have to say ..... It exceeded all expectations I loved it !!!

I was a little hesitant because Im not the fittest person - zumba almost kills me !!! and im not completely co-ordinated - at my babys music class recently i was the only one going in the opposite direction but our teacher was so lovely and not scary at all and didnt make you feel stupid if you went the wrong way or missed it completely...

He was so lovely and he broke up each little piece of dance so we learnt it one bit at a time and then practised it to music before putting it all together at the end.. For a class of beginners all levels of fitness and co-ordination everyone did really well and no one struggled which is a credit to our teacher who was really good and explained the steps to make it quite easy ...

Having said that I sweated .... a lot!!!!! This is definetly a brilliant way to improve your fitness or to help lose weight if your not really a gym person and want to try something different.. I can highly recommend Dance Ihayami they also do classic Indian dance classes as well as many others...

Loved it ... loved it LOVED IT!
