A very quirky place, full of character. The food is top notch, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Recommended :)
Bohemian is definitely the word. Gorgeous place for lunch, lovely staff and great food with a twist.
Gorgeously quirky cafe with a great menu (and specials in the evening) only let down by the surly staff. To be fair, not all of them are like that at all but it has been a theme with our visits.
The food is delicious and they have an ever changing specials board, with a whole different specials menu coming out in the evening. The decor is great and I love nothing more than sitting at a table in the evening with candles lit, chomping my way through a plate of cheesy garlic bread (it's a delicious meal in itself!). Also recommended are the burgers, the mussels and the whitebait.
In the summer you can sit outside or in their equally charming garden at the back. Definitely a place to visit in Canterbury!
The food is delicious, the staff friendly and the decor fabulous. Even the music (normally a source of annoyance) is eclectic and so acceptable.
The hot chocolate is not that ghastly sweet stuff you get in most places. The cakes are NOT sweet, so you don't leave with your teeth on edge.
Having read the other reviews, I can't wait to try the breakfast soon!
I was worried when a chain café opened up over the road, but Boho has no need to worry.
Only complaint, no not a complaint, a recommendation to the staff: when all tables are taken, don't turn people away automatically and tell them to come back in 15 minutes. Some people, like ourselves, are very happy to move up and share a table with others!! It's a friendly place, after all.
Boho, is in my opinion a gem right in the centre of Canterbury. The food which is served is of a very good quality- well presented and tasty. The atmosphere is better than anywhere else in town. It is especially nice to sit outside on a warm day in summer. The staff are always friendly and attentive- so a definite thumbs up from me.
Great food, great atmosphere.
The food was fresh and tasty and both myself and my partner couldn't quite finish our main course after a antipasti to share for the starter, even though it was very tasty....
Good value and friendly staff, well worth a visit.
Looks tiny from the outside but more spacious inside. It lives up to its name, with its decoration being, well… boho!! The back part of the cafe is a bit like sitting in an excentric aunts dining room - very cosy. Friendly staff look after you and make you feel very welcome. A good menu with lots of homemade dishes. Well worth a visit in the morning for a lovely cooked breakfast to fill you up before shopping. I have never seen such door-stop sized slices of toast on a cafe breakfast before and the local sauages are delicious. You may struggle to eat all whats on your plate! The front area of the cafe is a nice place to grab a quick hot or cold drink and watch the world go by on the high street.
Great place for a coffee if you want to avoid the chain coffee shops which fill up Canterbury High Street.
It looks quite trendy, but is friendly with good food and even my 70 year old Dad likes it in there. We can definitely recommend the breakfasts.
Never had a bad meal in here, or had bad service - highly recommended.
