I’ve stayed in a fair few London hotels and this is one of my favourites. It’s good value and I book direct to get the best prices. I would always upgrade to a junior suite if possible and I would recommend breakfast in your room if possible as they bring lots !! The breakfast rooms themselves are just lovely and they have a LOT of food on offer for your breakfast. I have only eaten at the resturant for an evening meal once and would recommend it if you like to stay hotel bound after a long day in the city. It’s only down the road from London zoo in one direction, a street away from Madame Tussaurds in another and straight ahead if you like to walk into the likes of Oxford street etc for a 10-15 minute walk. It’s not far from the tour bus bustops which I love and not far in another direction to the likes of the British Museum. It’s not the MOST central hotel but it is in a lovely area if you like the park for example and Shakespeare in the park plays. It’s closest to Euston mainline station and tube station too.

This is a very centrally located Hotel, just on the edge of Regents Park. Lovely for a weekend away.
The Hotel is very plush, with marble floors and funky new lifts. Press the floor you want to go to and you are told which lift to take. Its a complete nightmare when its busy!
The Melia is a Spanish owned hotel and this shows in the cuisine. Breakfast is an elctic mix of everything. Make time as you will be up and down trying all sorts of things out.
The rooms (double) are compact but clean and functional.
Overall a very nice stay.
