Fair enough if the Parking signs are clear, they are not, plus no mention on the Web Site for Stratford London of any charges. I managed to go into car park park breifly go into Morrisons, wander about inside store, then decided queue was to long & i would be late back for work so left resolving to go back & try again. I have since recieved a demand for payment of an amount I have no intention of paying. I acce3pt in may be a better shopping experience than other stores & I have used other Morrisons stores quite happily, I won’t be using them again – any of them

I parked there several months ago and bought a parking ticket valid for 2 hours. My wife and i bought some items and left just after an hour.
To our chagrin, we received a PCO for £120; claiming we parked without a valid ticket/overstaying. I was quite upset because, we bought a ticket and we even left well before the ticket expired.
Luckily for us, we still had the parking ticket which we promptly sent to them along with a strongly-worded letter.
The parking firm did not have someone on ground who went around the vehicles checking if they had tickets, no, they relied on CCTV which could not check for tickets. The CCTV was only able to give them arrival and departure times.
I think it is a scam to get money off innocent law-abiding citizens in the land. Imagine if we had thrown the parking ticket away. I mean, this was about two weeks after we parked there!

Good supermarket with a wide range of food produce and everyday essentials. The items are reasonably priced and the layout of the supermarket is good.

I have a soft spot for Morrisons, and I do miss it as I no longer live near one. This Morrisons has friendly staff, a nice atmosphere (lol, making it sound like a pub!) and a great range of products. They have more ‘fresh’ food than most other supermarkets, and the queues at the tills move fast. 5 out of 5!
(P.S. to the person who has complained about the parking- the parking is just £1 and that is refundable against any purchase instore! that £1 refundable ticket gives you 2 hrs of shopping time…surely you cant need longer than that!?)

I don't have a problem with Morrisons supermarkets , infact i've been a loyal customer for years , but that was before they had paid parking installed , if you want customers support , the least you can do is provide parking like all other supermarkets where you dont have to pay or feel that you in danger of getting a fine if your at the till longer than expected. It's sad that many customers like me now feel that they dont want to support Morrisons Stratford because of the parking issue . It makes no sense , i'm sure if they scrap the parking they will make more money in sales revenue .

Its my second home :)
The quality of the products in store & the offers are fantastic! They have a cafe/restaurant which I have had breakfast in before. They have a good selection of drinks and freshly baked cakes and deserts :) I have also dined in and the menu varies from a big slice of fish (totally cheap for £4 only) and chips all the way to chicken tikka and lasagne. The service is excellent and a glance away is the shopping area. Morrisons never let me down, so why should they let YOU down? (:

ALL the way to chicken tikka and lasagne? In cafe terms, this doesn't sound like a long distance ...
I quite like this little store. It has a large car park, there are plenty of bargains to be found in store. They have a cafe, bakery and plenty of food to choose from.

I don’t mind Morrisons supermarkets. They feel like a slightly cheaper version of Tesco or Sainsburys! This one in Stratford has a large car park, but is a bit of a trek to the tube station if you plan on buying more than a few carrier bags worth of goods. Has a small section of gluten free products / flours. Quite a large alcohol area - small freezer section.
Not a massive supermarket but better than the sainsburys located in The Mall centre - even if that is closer to the tube station!

You cannot be fined!
It’s not an offence and not enforceable.
Offer to pay £10 if you overstayed your time or infringed the parking “contract” or tell them to go to court.
We thought this scam had been stopped.
Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply. Sadly the law has changed and now this Government allows the car owner to be chased to pay up. You are right but they never call it a fine but parking charge. sadly this scam has been given a new opportunity to fleece people out of their money by this Government and people like Morrisons who allow them to operate. Morrisons don’t seem to understand that people will stop going into their store if they get fined. Does Morrisons think this is a big joke and people can cheerfully pay up? Wake up Morrisons people have families and this £85 fine is a weeks shopping. Morrissons, they don’t care about their customers so think before you shop there
