a proper british pub and also one of the cheapest in coventry. the pub's got a patio if you want to enjoy the sunshine with a beer..located close to the library of the university , it is the best place ever to have a short break during the revision..the music is always in the place so it is the place to be when you are around coventry. by the way, guard are really friendly even though, they look a bit mean lol

The quality of music played upstairs has dropped off a bit in recent years, but the beer is still ridiculously cheap on a Wednesday night, which is the only time I’d recommend going.

Beer garden and adjacent room are pretty good on a warmer night.

Phoenix is a brilliant place to go for a drink. A great student pub, as its cheap and cheerful. They offer loads of deals on different nights, and even have live music and a fantastic beer garden. The atmosphere is always buzzing. Whether you want a quick drink, or a night out, Pheonix is the place to go. With friendly staff and fast service you’re bound to have a good night!

Probably one of the best student pubs in Coventry. Offering cheap drinks, good quality and good value food, nice staff and it also has a nice beer garden for the summer. It often plays music too which is quite nice and sometimes upstairs they have a night club where you can dance the night away.

Probably Coventry’s best student pub. Cheap beer, cheap good food, friendly staff and a good crowd of local students. I mainly use this pub to watch football on sky on a Saturday lunch time, they have two large screens and a number of smaller tv’s, very popular with fans of all teams.

Excellent pub to go to. Very close to cov uni, so great for the student life there!!

Oh and its also known as the campbell to locals and the older generations, the name only relatively recently changed to the pheonix.

Perfect place for a local drink and to students. Good prices, good simple pub grub and a friendly atmosphere.

Check out tuesday and the comedy club upstairs. Not usually my type of thing but enjoyed myself surprisingly.

The perfect place for students at night, with a packed dancefloor playing rock, indie and all sorts of things really. Many, many drinks offers and a large beer garden outside. The food is very well priced and tastier than you’d think! However, not for those fancying a quietish drink at night!

This is the best student pub in Coventry. They have a lovely garden section and an upstairs with a DJ. You can sit and chill downstairs on comfy bench things or perch on a stool and I got reasonably merry here rather cheaply recently. They sell strawberry brothers cider which is so naughty - tastes like pop! The staff are friendly and there is never any chavs in here! I’d rather go here than Browns anyday!
