We had our wedding here back on 23rd June 2011 and i can say from the minute we contacted the hotel to book our wedding right to the end of the our wedding celebrations i can say that the hotel and the staff involved where unbelievably amazing, we stayed in the themed honeymoon suite for three nights and i could not praise this place / venue and the staff enough they were all fantastic and made our wedding not just a special day but an unforgettable day and experience to treasure for life.

We won two nights B and B here and thoroughly loved it. Our room was basic but very comfortable. The food was excellent. The breakfast had an extensive buffet and smoked haddock and kippers cooked to order. The Sunday carvery was excellent value and very busy with lots of non residents who obviously returned for the beautifully cooked choice of three roasts and a high variety of vegetables. Our evening meals were excellent.
We loved the swimming pool, beautifully kept and we were able to walk down from our room in our cosy hotel dressing gowns.
The hotel was very busy with pre Christmas parties but the service was excellent. Even a morning coffee was served with style. We hope to return soon.

I had the opportunity to use both more expensive and cheaper rooms here and both were very comfortable. Staff always helpful.

Was there on both occasions as part of a corporate training event and the venue was ideal for this.

We’ve enjoyed our visits here so much, we’ve actually booked our wedding here next year.

The prices are a little expensive but the phrase 'you get what you pay for’ springs to mind. Everything is very luxurious and the Spa is absolutely fantastic.

You really feel as though you are 'getting away from it all’ despite being only about 5mins outside of town.

The only negative is that, on occasion, the food can slip below the standard set by the rest of the hotel.

Absolutely loved our stay here, well worth the money. Our room was fantastic and the bathroom was huge! Would love to go again as we didn’t get the chance to go to the spa. Delicious evening meal and breakfast. Prices are very reasonable for the outstanding luxury quality.
