Pizza Express in balham is easily found its in a great location. Nearest staion is Balham station. Food is excellentt. Service was good. Toilets were nice and clean. staff where amazing. I enjoyed the pasta and pizza also the garlic with cheese bread are lovly. Price is the same as other pizza restuarnts but has a taste that you will have to return back. very local to myself as i live nearby. Worth visiting if near by or and other Pizza Expresses.
Great pizza express branch. Its been recently refurnished and is clean and light with even an improvement in the pizzas. the restaurant is pretty big, and divided into two sections which appears to segregate adult dining and customers with children into separate dining areas, and as a parent to a toddler I think this is a good idea. Makes relaxed dining in both areas. And considering the amount of young families in Balham, this is a good idea!
The staff are accomodating and always provide colouring sets for children, which keeps them occupied for at least 5 minutes! Friendly atmosphere and plenty of space in the entrance hall for buggies and prams.

"Little toddlers" - right, that's put me right off it. Will nowhere allow adults to eat in peace without being subjected to squealing kids and their couldn't-care-less-about-anyone-but-themselves parents?

I am – but I also happen to be a grown-up and sick of selfish ‘parents’ who ruin other people’s restaurant experiences by letting their ghastly brats run riot.
great very good with little toddlers causing mischief food was very tasy and very fresh you could really taste the sun dried tomatoes and the price was not too bad either all in all a good lunch will defiantly come back a credit to Balham

pizza express outlets never dissappoint. the food is always of really good quality, the smell in there is amazing, and the staff are usually helpful and efficient. if choosing a starter i would very strongly recommend dough balls, they are the best starter in the world. It is reasonably priced and a good place for a family meal

This is my local Pizza Express and I have eaten here quite a bit in the past 2 years or so. Pizza Express launched their new Autumn menu which features 4 new pizza’s from celebrity chef Theo Randall, formally of the River Café who has his own restaurant in London now. The Balham PE is the best restaurant in the chain in my opinion and I have been told it won restaurant of the year for PE. Its got the same waiters and chefs since I started going there so the management is running it well.
My wife and I decided to try the new starter, Tuna Cannellini Salato. A fairly big starter of cannellini beans, tuna, tropea onions on a Panettone slice. Very good and fresh tasting, and big enough to share. We then had two of the new pizza’s which were the Gamberettini and the Favorita, the first having brown shrimps and zucchini on it while the second had baby mozzarella, parma ham, olive and rocket. They also come in an oval shape and on a black board with your own pizza wheel to cut it with. Nice touch. The shrimp pizza was very tasty, different from what I am used to. The favorita has great fresh flavours and is a little lighter. I will definitely try them again. We both enjoyed our glasses of red wine which is always pretty good. They have also gone back to the classic menu style which is better.
I would recommend the restaurant for the staff, ambience and food. Also give the new pizza’s a go, it’s a nice change to having my favourite every time.
