Review of The Green Man & French Horn from 5 February 2010

We ended up in this pub last night because The Harp was too busy and we were slightly desperate, which sort of annoyed me.
To be fair, there's nothing wrong with it, apart from the fact that it smells funny and the pie that I ordered was maybe the worst I've ever had. I may have liked it a year ago, when I had just arrived in London...
At least it doesn't belong to a chain (I think).

Review of The Green Man & French Horn from 1 December 2008

Should scrap the reference to “sport” as far as this pub is concerned: on a day when there was a manchester derby and london derby, there was NOTHING showing. There was a very moody foreign barmaid, all (except one) decent real ales were not available and the place was empty (so good if you want to avoid the crowds….....and any atmosphere !). Food only available on very select occasions it seems - NOT Sundays

Review of The Green Man & French Horn from 3 October 2008

Pretty good sausage and mash in here. Good selection of real ales and a great name make this a location to meet a friend near Leicster Square slighty off the beaten track.

So close to the theatre, my mate and brother left me in the auditorium and went for a quick pint and toilet stop during the interval of Avenue Q which is across the down and down a bit. I was livid, cos they were back in good time for the second half, without getting me a drink or having a pee for me.

Like Rob said…nothing remarkable, but if you want a pint and in shop size little city centre boozer with friendly staff, this is worth a brief stop.

The Green Man is a nice little pub in Covent Garden, especially handy if you’re looking for a night cap if you’ve been to one of the shows at a nearby theatre.

Very traditional 'pubby’ decor, the staff are always friendly even when it gets busy, and the beer seems well kept. Food’s pretty decent as well.

Nothing remarkable, bu really what more do you want from a pub?

bluesofty Clean loos?

knibbd Yes…OK…I’ll give you that one! Although I’ve been in …..better to draw a veil.

Review of The Green Man & French Horn from 23 January 2008

The Green Man is a great little pub which is situated on St Martins Lane in the heart of the West End. This is quite a small pub and it is quite narrow. The toilets are very small which I could see being a issue for a larger person. Despite these downfalls the Green Man is a very friendly pub. They have a great food menu and continue serving food quite late into the evening. I would recommend the burgers which are all just over five pounds and they come with chips and a small side salad. One great thing about this pub is that it has three wide screen televisions and all major games are shown. This is where the fact the pub is quite long rather then wide comes in handy as no matter where you stand you will get a great view of what ever is on.
