We go to the Malmaison quite a bit and have never had a bad meal or service.
The menus change frequently if you were a vegetarian you may find it hard to find something you would like.
The staff are always very friendly and do not make you feel intimidated.
The atmosphere is spot on, there is a lively buzz without it being noisy or too busy for good service.
The only fault i can think of at the moment is that the tables are huge, and you have to stretch your arm a bitif you plan on holding your partners hand.
