Great service, from start to finish –
Menu is lovely – garlic breads are gorgeous & the Duck was beautiful.
You can see the difference that Living Ventures have made, seems a lot better than when it was a Heathcote’s restaurant.

The Olive Press Located on Castle Street in liverpool is part of Paul Heathcote’s collection. Paul is one of countries leading chef’s and has earned a MBE for his services to the hospitality industry in north-west England. Went here for a meal with my boyfriend and my sister and her boyfriend. I had lasagne, which was quite nice, but half way through eating it I nearly cracked my tooth on something. I spat it out and cleaned it, and it looked like a bone. I told the waiter, who seemed less than impressed about my complaint. He took it away and returned saying it was a bone from the mince. He wasnt as apologetic as he should have been and just said the management said I could have my meal free. I am only 20 years old, but I look a lot younger, and I feel that people dont take you as serious when you look like a young group. I feel if I was with my parents they would have took the situation more seriously. I still had to pay for my starter. I believe our table should not have had to pay a penny, and I believe if there had been older people in our group they wouldnt have made us pay. It just shows how cheap the mince they use is. No mince I have ever bought has had bones in it. Very disappointed

I have only visited the Olive Press on Castle Street once late last year with a large group of friends and found it to be a positive experience on the whole.
The food was delicious, reasonably priced, with lots to choose from and of a very high quality. A good range of wine was available. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the speed of service was excellent especially considering the number of people in our party.
The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, well maintained and very comfortable.
I would certainly visit again either to grab a quick lunch or as part of a bigger night out with a group.

When you are on your own in a strange city it can be hard to fins somewhere to eat. Some places are just not comfortable, but the Olive Press was fantastic. The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious, arrived quickly and reasonably priced, and I had a nice glass of wine to round things off. Would definitely return next time I am in Liverpool.

This is an excellent restaurant,The decor is fabulous and the staff are really friendly and helpful.I found the food to be at the upmost standard. The kitchen can be seen from the restaurant floor so you can see your food being prepared(so you know nothing is being microwaved). The taste of the food was too die for.I came with my friends for my birthday party and the staff made me feel special,The chef even went out of way to make my favorite meal. The restaurant was clean and well maintained and the toilets were immaculate even the silver on the walls sparkled.I give this restaurant a 10/10 all round.
