Carlitos

Doesn't seem to be too popular but it should be! Nice place, nice staff and nice food. Also do good cocktails! What more could you want.

Went there for a family birthday. There were 13 of us including 2 young children and because the menu was so extensive everybody was very happy with their choices.
Food was excellent as was the service and such friendly staff.
Although the place was quite quiet this meant that we could talk to each without shouting.
Can’t understand why it is not more popular… possibly it’s location although it is only a few minutes walk from Gilmore Street.
Can highly recommend it and will be returning soon.

Hmmm i'm starting to wonder if i have went to the same place as the other reviewers as i could not disagree more about Carlitos.
I have been a few times and i have been dissapointed on each occasion, first time i went i could not figure out if this place was Italian, Spanish, Polish or Indian then after asking, i was told it was split in two to be half Italian and half Spanish.
The lighting was all wrong, the music did not fit in with the theme off Italian Spanish, the waiting staff is Indian and Polish apart from one really attentive waitress who was Scottish and gave us complimentary olives and bread and was not overly obtrusive whilst the other staff came to our table so often it was very off putting.
The wines were of good quality and the food was nice also.
Not the best location and feel if it was more central in Paisley it might do a bit better if the majority of the waiting staff were trained to be less intrusive.
I personally would not recommend Carlito's but thats just my opinion.

Not a bad Christmas dinner in this place.

I took my partner there a last year, just as a spontaneous date. I had heared mixed reviews but i htought i would give it a go. I trained as a chef when i was in my teens and have been out of the industry for a few years, so i put on my critical hat. We had a pre-theater meal, the service was prompt and unintrusive, the starters were simple and taste - exactly the way they should be! the main was exceptional, my partner had a pasta dish and she said it was the best she had had in a restaurant in a long time. for me the only thing that let it down was the lighting, if they had turned it down just a bit it would have topped off a great experiance. who knew there would be a gem like Carlitos in Paisley!

Visited Carlito's a few times and each time the food has been excellent. One pizza I tried was one of the best I've had - hot knife through butter style! Great choice of starters. Unfortunately pretty quiet on all three occasions - maybe some music and dim lights would help the atmosphere?

I have been to this restaurant on at least 3 occasions, each time the place was very quiet, hardly any customers, BUT, the food and service was first class. Great value for money, delicious food and local :) Would recommend this place to visit for any occasion.

i have visited this restaurant a couple of times and on my first visit i was pleasantly surprised. the food was good and the price was very reasonable compared to some of the other restaurants close by. the restaurant offers a variety of food and i have heard that tapas is popular here however i opted for a past dish which was pleasant. the restaurant was very quiet when i was there and as some of the waiters didnt have much work to do they insisted on being sleazy with a few girls in the restaurant whilst they were having their meals. nothing too bad but jsut a little cringe worthy and tacky which this restaurant could do without

We went here for lunch and were very impressed. The decor seems a bit bare, but the food was really good. Huge portions at a good price and the staff were friendly and helpful. Can’t help but think that if this place had a different location it would be much more popular. As it is, it’s quite difficult to get to in the middle of busy circular roads.

This has ended up quite a nice place to eat….although when it first opened I witnessed physical fights between staff members…not once…but on two occassions!!!
The food is pretty nice although I think the tapas is a little over priced. The staff are really nice NOW so I would recommend.
