Beijing Cantonese Take Away, Colchester

Good takeaway Chinese, one of the best in Colchester and the staff are very friendly.

This takeaway was once regarded as the mecca of Chinese fast food in Colchester. A bad word never seemed to be spoken of it. Nowadays, it's standards have slipped. I have eaten from here over the course of 4 years living in the area nearby and there's been a steady decline. This may have coincided with the Police raid in which several illegal workers were deported! This happened whilst I was actually waiting on an order!

Only last week I decided on a Friday night treat, and despite a couple of recent average experiences, I decided to give it a go. It was dire. The crispy duck we ordered was dry, overcooked and stale. It was abysmal. The prawns in the Chow Mein had a suspect taste and my girlfriend lost her appetite after trying them. The prawn toast was also dire; soaked in grease, lacking any sign of prawns in most of them.

I have now concluded I will no longer eat here - just over a year ago I recommended this place to everyone. If the management are reading - you need to get back to where you were previously.

Really good food we always come here when we want chinese foods always piping hot when it gets to us we would recomend it to anyone.

I had food from this chinese take away and it wasn't very nice. The crispy duck was so dry i couldn't shred it and the chow mein was dry and bland. I wouldn't reccommend this place at all.

Great takeaway food, good fast and reliable service and good value for money. I’ll be coming back here!

fantastic food

Very good chinese. Wide selection of speciallitys particularly recommend Mongolian Crispy Lamb very nice. Parking even better now they have converted back of building into parking area

There are so many Chinese Takeaways in Colchester and I have tried a lot of them and this one is one of the better ones.

It is reasonably priced and you get a lot for your money and the food is very nice.

It does become very busy at times so can be a long wait I suggest you ring up and collect will be much better then waiting in there. You can park just to the left of the place because otherwise there would be no where to stop as it is on a busy road.
