lakeside indian resturant

went tonight for a meal with some friends from wakefield .we have been here few times and always found the food to be of top quality and staff to be friendly . we’ve been to most of the restaurants in doncaster but choose to come here even though we live in armthorpe and could have gone to the elachi but elachi has gone down hill they have no customer service and the staff are rude and pushy so we decided to come here as we didnt want to be shown up in front of our guest the food and service was great they were busy but had the time to come and talk to you nothing seem to much we tried some new starters hot meat in pastry and shampan platter mince meat veg served with cheese on a sizzler they were great and looked impressive we tried a nawab mossala and a garlic fish which we never had before the dishes were to die for we were very impressed and so was our guests .i would recommend this place to anybody even the lake views were great well done to the lads at lakeside

went for a meal tonight with wife .we choose to go for the sunday buffet wide range of food selection with plenty of vegetable meat chicken and salad .the restaurant was nicely decorated and had nice views food was excellent .the waiter and waitress who looked like they were a couple were very polite and made us welcome service was great will definitely be back bill came to £21 with drinks.the restaurant is situated upstairs with a large car park.very impressed

Great food, great prices (The set meal deal is the best) and the best service i have ever encountered (we took our 1 year old son, he got a bit upset and the waiters attempted to make him laff, and cheer him up by giving him things to play with and free food. they did this even though there was not one else in the restaurant!)
I seriously can not rate this place enough. i travel over 15 miles to go here, and do so at least once a month.

we were staying at the ramada hotel .and wanted a indian meal some person told us to ring the lakeside indian .which we did the food was great from there it came in time and the delivery was free .will definitely be using this indian next time were in town

went on saturday night for my partners birthday for the first time .we had never been this to this place as we always used the elachi at armthorpe.we heard lots of good things about this place .it was busy but not over crowded the restaurant was nice and set up beautifully .we were all treated very well food and service was great .they had a nice selection of dishes .i went for the stuffed pepper .which is mince meat in a grilled pepper it was delicious.for mains i tried a thali and choose three dishes of my choice very nice .we had a great night.staff were very friendly always there to assist you but not in your face .you wasn’t pressurised into buying drinks or rushed like in elachi it was relaxing all 6 of us enjoyed our meal great night would recommend to anybody even ordered a takeaway tonight .cant fault anything

just read the reviews i went there on sunday with few friends .the restaurant did have a big party we went about 8.00pm and sat opposite the big table .food was great as usual service was fine .been coming here since it opened never had a bad meal .but people are allowed to say there opinion .maybe the couple that wrote the review didnt like the food and are entitled to there opinion .but the customers that enjoy dinning there will always go there .if i dont like a meal .il complain and if nothings done about it then il never go again ive known the staff of lakeside for along time the food and service is great .

been to this restaurant for almost 1yr we are great curry lovers having living in bradford for years this place makes the best currys in doncaster and we have tried them all from elachi to kyber dower house agraar them all the restaurant is very clean the staff are very friendley any problem they put it rite straightaway the dishes are very tastey and well presented cant say had 1 bad meal many of our friends and famaily have been here all enjoy it keep the good work up would recommend to anybody

Visited last night having read the reviews on this site. Extremely disappointed. Looks nothing like the photos, half finished and a huge disappointment, i have to say probably the worst Indian meal I have ever had. Service was poor even though there were only two tables occupied, main course was average and not even as good as a takeaway we usually order from elseware. My partners lamb was very tough and virtually inedable. I would strongly advise this iis not worth the money.

had a great meal at the lake side indian the food and service was excellent well worth the travel from bawtry this place was recommended to us by some friends lovely clean restaurant its in a great location beautiful lake views not your usual indian restaurant in busy squares we were made welcomed staff were polite and the food was great would recommend to anybody try the staff curry which is very tastey and not in other restaurants it was recommended by a member of staff takes a bit long to cook but well worth the wait my partner loved her chicken tikke delight will be back

Heard a lot about this restaurant and we decided to give it a try . Went quite early Satuarday evening so as to get a table. The tables are well spaced out and in a very pleasently decorated room. The staff are all very friendly and very attentive , nothing seems too much trouble. We had an excellent meal with all the trimmings , nicely served , very relaxed attmosphere .Not rushed at all , we will be back !! Recommend !

what a lovely meal we had on tuesday we went to try out the 4 course meal for £6.95 thinking the portions would be small but how wrong were we .the food and portions were excellent.the service was brilliant the staff were very friendly .we travelled all the way from woodlands .it was our first time our total bill came to £21.00 including drinks that is a bargain the food is very tasty not your usual curry's they do this special every monday and tuesday will definitely be back for the sunday all you can eat buffet .recommend to anybody

ive heard so many good things about this place so me and 6 friends went there the other night . it was quite busy for a Monday night .we were greeted by a waiter who took us to our table even pulled the chairs out for us .the restaurant was modernly decorated the food and service was very good must be one of the best indian meals i ever had as i didnt leave a bit of food on my plate my friends all enjoyed there meals to we found the staff to be very friendly and polite the toilets and restaurant was very clean .very impressed would recommend to anybody .if you want a nice quite meal this is the place to go to its near lindholme prison tyram hall .

ordered a take away from lakeside indian as a friend told us they deliver to westwoodside.we usually order from epworth as we didnt no any more indians that delivered there .we placed our order ant it came to us whithin 35 minutes the food was warm and tasted great best of all when we asked the driver how much the delivery charge was he said it was free i was gobsmacked as epworth charge us £3 for delivery.now that is what i call a bargain honestly couldn't fault the price or food it was much better then our usual place will be telling all our friends.a indian that doesn't charge for delivery our local charge if we ask for a extra mint sauce the portions were big to very enjoyable.

went for a meal on saturday with a group of friends from armthorpe the restaurant was very busy yet the food and service was excellent .i ordered a sirloin steak massala that id never had before it was delicious we all enjoyed our meal and it was worth the drive from armthorpe at least we wernt rushed and the staff were very polite and helpful would definitely be back and would recommend to any body.all my friends enjoyed the food not one person complained well impressed.

went to the lakeside indian for my partners 40th on saturday been there before and found the service to be abit slow but the food was always fantastic.i was surprised the restaurant was very busy yet the service and food was great .must admit i was very impressed and so were our friends from armthorpe who had never been i had a new dish called chicken tikka delight which a waiter recommended it was mouth watering.my partner went for a thali were you could choose three dishes of your choice.we all really enjoyed the food and service looks like a lot had changed since our last visit.the place was busy but you weren't rushed .and from what i could see all the customers were enjoying themselves.well done to all the staff of the lakeside

thank you to all the staff of lakeside indian for one of the best new years day party ever the buffet was great the service was excellent. thank you to sid for organizing the party your the best big thank you to eric for the music and karaoke the kids loved it must admit it was one of the best party's ever and most of all thank you to all the friends and family that turned up its great to see adults and kids singing dancing eating together without sid and all the staff of lakeside this day wouldn't have been possible. sid cant wait for the next party. what a day we had loved it the atmosphere was great thank you all again

We go here every week without fail....... we have NEVER tasted such gorgeous food and the staff are 1st class! Even booking for Christmas day! Last year was fantastic....... would highly reccommend it!

from epworth went tonight to the lakeside indian for a friends birthday food and service was excellent been there few times gets better and better every time the sunday all you can eat buffet was very tasty and impressive atmosphere was great there must have been at least another 4 tables celebrating birthdays there staff were very friendly and polite not pushy at all even got a free birthday cake which was a suprise as we never told the staff we were coming to celebrate a birthday would recommend to anybody its worth the drive to come to lakeside then use our local in epworth keep up the good work lads will be definitely coming back
