DANE PARK

This park is particularly pretty in the summer. It has some rare and exotic trees, too. It's great for families, as there's lots of open space for kids to play ball games and such. I prefer to go when the kids are at school and it is quieter, it's a soothing place to just sit and enjoy the scenery; quite a refreshing break if you live in the town. There aren't many green places around Margate, so very grateful for this place.

Dane Park used to be a little run down but has recently seen a large investment, resulting in a really well equipped playground and improved security lighting.

Set in the bowl of Dane Valley, the park boasts a cricket pitch and tennis courts. Stagecoach runs a bus service alongside and roads lead directly to the main shopping areas of Margate and Cliftonville.

Nice, large park. The tennis courts always used to be a great place to go and knock the ball about for a while, and lots of big open areas for football etc. Its got a new children’s play area that looks fantastic, and has supposedly had a lot of work recently to improve the lighting at night. Good place to take younger kids to play around, and pretty safe to let older kids head to play footie or whatever.
