Kings Cross Tandoori

This is a reasonable Indian restaurant that offers good value and good service. It is true that the set meal comes all together and is not a big meal but I think it is reasonable for the price and certainly enough for most appetites.

Nice food, a Cobra beer and “Bollywood Minute” on TV – a good place to go!

Trust me, I'm not fussy when it comes to curry, but I really wasn't impressed by this place.

The board outside advertises a set menu for £8.95. We had to ask to see this menu, and only after we'd ordered did they tell us that all of our dishes would come out on one of those little trays with different compartments. This is fair enough if you'd ordered thali or something, but the portions were really quite pathetic. There was about a spoonful of rice, and not much more curry. Thank goodness the 'deal' also included a 'starter' (again, it came on the same tray) otherwise I would have left this place a very hungry hayjane.

I'm not criticising the food, as what I did have was tasty, but it does really get my goat when restaurants offer a special menu to get people through the door, only to disappoint. Had it been value for money I would have gone back, but sadly I won't be going here again.

I love this place. Whenever I pass through Kings Cross I pop in for a hot curry. It's only a small place, but the staff are always friendly and service is second to none. I like my curries very hot, and they do them exactly how I like them

As far as I'm concerned it's the UK's best curry house.

Although I find the price of a pint a bit much.

Very handy for the station reasonable price for London. Extensive menu and all the dishes our party tried were very good, though one of the medium was a bit spicier than I expected. Service was prompt and efficient, despite the extremely cramped space, not recommended for anyone overly large as space is limited.
