A beautiful place to walk, starting at the idyllic boat museum in Ellesmere port and continuing for a very very long way though twisting and winding countryside. A good walk would be between the Chester and Ellesmere Port stretch. Idyllic farmland, good fishing locations and simply a great place to sit and read in the sun (when it’s out). Good solid seating is along this particular stretch. A good day out would be to visit the local boat museum followed by a walk along the canal to the butterfly walk and back again followed by a lovely meal in the resturant to hand, Jabula.
