It’s worth visiting the Shepherds Rest Inn just for the view. The pub is on the top of a penine hill and is about 2 miles off the penine way. It’s got spectacular views over the valley towards Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The food has varied of the years from very good pub grub to 'ok’ pub grub. I’ve not been in a few months so it may have changed again - was very good last time I went though.
