We had a very disappointing family experience today, to be more precise hazardous. We ordered two top range 30 pound per person set menus; in the mixed platter were delighted to see all time favourite prawn toast. Little did we know; in this place it comes with uncooked/raw pork /or chicken mince inside ( staff was not sure which exactly was in) taken into account I am pregnant, I was very concerned for food safety, hygiene all together. Our seven year old was distraught. What a disappointment! As an excuse, we were advised that chef is new. Maybe additional training and  good  supervision will be a way forward.

Review of Sucheera Thai Restaurant from 22 October 2012
I have been going  to Sucheera ( fomerly  Suchitra Wright's  baby ) since 2010  and in 2011 saw the transformation  as she  prettied it up  for sale to its new current  owners. The food was copious and good, even good enough for me to buy a bottle of wine every time.

Recently September 2012  the old chef left and  I noticed a change in the sauces for the Chicken Ganga Rie  which became much more watery and not as  flavoursome. It was so tasteless it must have been out of a packet.    The chicken has also  changed from being  nice, tender,  fresh  thigh and leg, to flavourless, uniformly- cut frozen chicken  which is as dry as hell,  just what is served 150 yards away at the  Giggling Squid which I have also stopped  going to.     The starter in the adventurer's lunch also became smaller  with only one bit of prawn toast as opposed to two slices  but the price has  remained the same. I discussed with another diner  who was there the same lunch about the fact the food has changed and he concurred;  it now is an average dining experience  out to  make money than provide  good food which it used to do.  If you like watered down sauces,  and dry, petrified chicken, then go here.

I hope  they  take notice of our comments as I am  tempted not to go back again and infact  recently went up the road to the Honeymoon where I had some   very good house rice and noodles.

I invite comments from the management of Suchitra, and also an invite to go back, and taste the food how it used to be.  Restuarants seem to be cutting corners and buying cheap, factory chicken and then dicing it and freezing it these days. We are not stupid, we can cook!

This place is just fabulous. Tunbridge Wells is quite lucky in terms of its fine Thai restaurants but as well as the food being gorgeous, the service here is superb and I just keep on returning.

I have been as part of both a large group and as a meal for two, each time the service has been second to none. The waitresses are friendly, helpful and attentive, and if you tell them it is your birthday they will put up a birthday banner, treat you to a free dessert and give you an incense holder to take home. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly. As an alternative to eating in the restaurant, there is also a downstairs bar you can sit in for a more informal meal.

I cannot recommend Sucheera enough and was overjoyed to discover that they also offer a takeaway service; my partner was even more impressed that whilst waiting at the bar to collect the takeaway, he received not only complimentary prawn crackers but several bits and pieces from the starters menu to sample also.

Due to its excellent service and delicious food it is always busy, so I would recommend booking in advance on the weekends or for larger parties.
