Munch & Crunch

I agree the cakes are good and ive given this bakery a lot of custom over the years.  however it was my sons 18th birthday on 1st Jan 2013 and i placed an order with them for a special cake.  i gave them a deposit of £15 and they assured me they were open new years day to collect - the collection time was confirmed on the receipt.  i went 3 times on this day to collect the cake but they were closed and not answering their phones.  i ended up with a hall and guests but no 18th birthday cake for my son.  finally got through to them on the phone on 2nd Jan and they apologised telling me to come in and they will refund and give me a free cake as a gesture of goodwill.  well they didn't follow through, they just said they were sorry and gave me my deposit back.  sorry but if that is good customer service i really don't know what you would call bad customer service.  Be careful when you are ordering cakes for your parties because they didn't even have the decency to call me on the day to advise me that they couldn't open the shop.  i can honestly say i'm so disappointed with this bakery and they really ruined what should have been a fantastic occasion.
