I agree with all the one star reviews. I got the voucher through Groupon. I too waited 2 months for my appointment. Despite booking system on line saying that I could be booked within two weeks. I have received an email that the first appointment available was actually much latter.
On arrival I was greeted by a nice lady she was helpful and offered me a drink showed me a seat and advised me that the stylist will be with me shortly.
The lady that did my colour was ok, she did exactly what I asked for. However the presumed ‘Art Director’ that suppose to cut my hair did not seem to be the one. A girl had her concept or rather no idea what she was doing. As she was cutting my hair I felt like she was doing it for the first time in her life and she was scared. I spend about good 10 minutes explaining that the last time my hair saw scissors was 6 months before and I need a proper chop and style. Dead end, she simply just slightly trimmed my hair. I got really frustrated at the end and I felt like to walk out. At the end my hair looked exactly the same as I walked in (apart from the colour) minus £55 for the colour mid short hair) and £24 for the voucher. I was really angry and felt ripped off.
The saloon itself felt like with no character, with a bunch of people who just met each other on the day and there was no much bond. It almost felt like they are freelancers that hire a chair in the saloon to cut hair.
I would not recommend this place to anyone.
It has taken me 10 phonecalls since then to get an email sent to myself which i can now forward onto Groupn for a refund. So my advice is, dont bother....im going to Windle & Moodie for a proper haircut.
If I had gone there and someone had hacked my hair i would have been LIVID so im glad that likely situation was avoided...

Just like the previous review I too ended up with one style of haircut on one side of my face and a completely difference style and length on the either side!
I purchased a groupon deal, £24 for a cut and blowdry with the 'Art Director'. I think it's pretty safe to say it was not the art director who cut my hair, nor the hair of many other people who purchased the voucher. I saw vouchers being used and hair being cut by many differenct people- they can't all be the art director? Feels like quite a serious breach of false advertising/trading standards to me and if I had the time to do something about it I think I would.
So, the experience; warm welcome, pleasant enough place. Drink offered. Basic hair wash, nothing special. The cut- appeared to be going well, although I was a little concerned at one stage I just assumed everything was fine and that the hairdresser knew what he was doing. I received a very impressive blow dry- one of the best actually- lots of curls, so my hair looked really good.
By the end of the day when the waves had started to drop I could tell something wasn't right. The following day, after washing it became painfully clear that one side is longer than the other and one side completely different to the other. The hair is shorter at the front and longer than the back- the complete opposite of what we agreed! And the fringe is a complete basin cut. My old fringe was just completey ignored so I now have the new fringe and then two large chunks of old fringe. I had to cut some of my hair myself also.
My hair now needs fixing but I'm going away and don't have the time to do it. I wouldn't want to go back there to have the mess sorted out.
Oh yeah, and a couple of other things; I arrived for my appointment only to be told the hairdresser was running late and could I be rescheduled for another day. It was a weekday, I'd made lots of plans around this appointment. And when I did get my hair cut I found a separate hairdresser to be quite unprofessional. He kept abandoning his client's hair and chatting to the guy doing my hair, cracking jokes, talking about his rubbish hair tools! His hairbrush was a disgrace!
So there we go. Don't do it, that's my advice.
