I visited the Armenian Kebab House last night and the food was superb as usual. First impressions of the place are not the best it seems a bit odd really and you could say needs decorating. I say odd but only in that there are not big signs with pictures of food on them and menus selling everything. Nope none of that here all you get is kebab – on pitta bread not Nan bread.
The place has been there for 30 years and the staff are a freindly couple the (presumably) Armenian man does the food and his wife takes the money!
I went for an extra large donner which is large you need to be hungry, but not like you get at some places where it is just far too much to eat. He asks you if you want cabbage and onions with it and what sauce and how much.
I had the chilli sauce which is homemade and amazing and the meat is so much better than you get elsewhere much more tasty somehow- well cooked but not dry.
It is not the cheapest and shuts at 10 so there not interested in the drunks, it is quality food you want to eat when you are sober cant recommend enough.

I have lived in blackpool over 30yrs and have driven by this place many times and never bothered to try it.
What an idiot i am, this is by far the best kebab shop in blackpool, possibly lancashire.
No fancy burgers, pizzas, indian food, fried chicken e.t.c. here, just kebabs about 6 options altogether, i plumped for a large donner (no salad options on offer just shredded cabbage and onion and a chioce of 5 sauces).
It was delicious with home made chilli and garlic sauce and the meat was of a far superior quality that you get at the all singing all dancing takeaway.
It is run by a lovely couple, a Scottish lady and i presume her Armeniem husband, who were both very pleasant, welcoming, and nothing seemed too much trouble.
I visited early evening about 6pm expecting the lamb to be warmed up or just cooking but this was well cooked and fresh, they dont even open past 10pm so get there early as this is one kebab you can eat sober and savour.
If there is a downside it is that the place is a bit dated and could do with a
good clean decor wise, but i thought this added to the charm.
I tried this place after a search on t'internet for best kebab shops in blackpool this place was there and thats why i tried it, i am going back only once a month though as i have to watch the waistline and look after the cholestrol levels.
Verdict: The dogs dangly bits, you have to try it.

One of the oldest kebab shops in Blackpool, quality is always very good at the Armenian although quantity is scarficed for the quality of the food here.
Friendly staff, usually open quite late 11pm weeknight, midnight at the weekend.
