Cheap and tasty brunch on sunday afternoon

Steaks and Burgers were average. I would not recommend the minute steak with cafe de paris sauce and the burger did not impress me either. Service was very good, decor and music excellent. I will try another main course next time.

From time to time I find myself in the vicinity of PJ’s on the Fulham Road and somehow I end up sitting at a table inside with a menu and a glass of something cool and later I regret the moment I set foot in the door. The decor at PJ’s is quite Ralph Lauren-esque. The people are a mix of young Fulhamites and the people who own the houses around the squares of SW7. No one here is poor or worrying about the Credit Crunch. I quite like the food - classic American fare with a French influence, including Caesar salad, steaks, tuna tartare, foie gras. However, I don’t think the food is good enough to warrant the prices and the service is always a bit cold. Not my favourite place in town. Better with a crowd for a weekend brunch than dinner.

Old Fashioned is a correct description of this place and the people as well. The average age was about 65 - and there were grey haired old men at the bar drinking whisky. It was like 1920’s America or something. The atmosphere wasn’t very relaxing however the food was actually very tasty, albeit a bit overpriced. Great place to bring your grandparents for lunch - not dinner.
