So taking over the iconic Putney bridge restaurant building, thai square certainly bagged a great location. (although I still mourn the passing of a French restaurant with a star, in Putney)
All fairly straight forward stuff the menu covers most of the Thai standards from chicken satay, green/red/jungle curries and chicken and cashew, to other less Thai like the chilli soft shell crab.
Food and service is just fine, not of Blue Elephant standard (fulham) but neither is the price, so fairs fair.
The bar downstairs comes alive as a night spot when it's not providing private parties for the Thai community and all in all the place is not half bad if you fancy a Thai and are restricted to Putney.

It is stylish with great river view. We are locals so we go there quite often. Food is tasty but not very sophiscated. The staff is always standing around chatting instead of serving.
They also do a weekend buffet which has a great variety, and good value for money.

Yum - in short.
Not sure about the bar bit, as I didn't use that, but this shipshaped restaurant is simply terrific for a business lunch.
Yes, the view of Putney Bridge and the Thames is probably the obvious selling point, but the food was well-presented and had terrific flavours and textures.
The dishes also have some utterly splendid names - take your pick from the likes of Bangkok Dangerous, Morning Glory in black bean sauce, Weeping Tiger or Drunken Duck. I rather fancied the Sexy Tuna to be honest.
The service was impeccable - friendly, prompt, and not overly intrusive.
My recommendation: the lamb Mussaman curry. Superb.

Came here for an engagement bash so didn’t have too much food other than some nibbles. Limited exposure but it didn’t offend. Would like to come back here to try out the food in more detail. Great views of a delightful part of London.

I came here on the day of the Oxford Cambridge boat race as this place has a wonderful vantage point looking out across the river. A buffet lunch was being served and the food was good and filling so I would definietly come back and order from the main menu. There was an extensive cocktail menu and wine list. There was a real party atmosphere that day and it was packed due to the boat race. I think the bar area would be busy and a good place to come for a drink any day of the week. The décor of the place doesn’t live up to the Blue Elephant in Fulham Broadway though!

Thai Square is a contemporary Thai restaurant located in the award-winning Putney Bridge Building in Putney. One of the most unique buildings in London, its metal beams, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and rope-threaded timber panels are distinctly nautical.
Special care has been taken to ensure that it preserves an authentic Thai ambiance. Eight statues of Buddha are dispersed throughout the restaurant and as tradition dictates, they are fed and watered daily.
Thai Square is divided into three distinct areas: the main restaurant, the bar and the Cigar Lounge. The main restaurant features Thai cuisine prepared by Prawat Ngam-Arom, a distinguished Thai chef from Bangkok. The menu offers a mind boggling 100 dishes ranging from a multitude of starters, soups, noodle dishes, Thai salads, curries and rice dishes.
After dinner, saunter over to the bar for a unique and potent concoction. I recommend taking in the breathtaking view of the Thames while sipping a Woo Woo (one of their many sinful cocktails) on their relaxing full-length balcony. Afterward, meander to the back of the restaurant where you’ll find the Cigar Lounge- a sultry and stunning space that marries modern simplicity with rich jewel-toned velvet couches and elaborate etched glass walls. Make your way over to the throbbing dance floor and groove to the banging beats of DJs spinning popular house music and funky tunes. If sharing the opulence with the masses isn’t your cup of tea, reserve this intimate space for a private party with your trendiest entourage.
On the weekends, be prepared to queue outside for admittance and wait longer than usual for a cocktail as this is one of the hottest spots in town. Thais Square is undoubtedly a fantastic venue if you are seeking somewhere classy yet relaxed enough to lose your inhibitions and shake your stuff on the dance floor.

This is not only a sophisticated bar, but also a gorgeous restaurant. The smell of food is delicious and the cocktails are lovely. The interior is soft and classy and it is a busy bar full of trendy people.

This restaurant is not cheap enough to get away with the mediocre food on offer. It's not awful - in fact some of it's quite nice - but it doesn't warrant the hefty bill.
It's also on top of a packed out bar and it's quite unpleasant to hear 'banging tunes' when you're eating your meal!
However teh decor is refined, the views are superb and it's handy for the best pub in the area - the Bricklayer's Arms.

On Lower Richmond road with a nice view of putney bridge and the river Thai Square is a nice place to go for dinner. I find it a little expensive for what it is, but you are paying as much for the location and style than the food.

This restaurant is situated in Lower Richmond Road, Richmond and boasts a simplistic but stylish interior giving this Thai restaurant a modern-Bangkok feel and reminded me of when I visited Bangkok recently on a cruise ship. The restaurant itself is fantastic standard, giving a lovely atmosphere and some wonderful views of the river. With the chefs own specials and additions to an amazing menu was a real treat. The only grumble was that the prices were noticeably high however the service and food was worth this money. The food was fantastic, served well with very friendly staff and we will definitely go back.
