Post-geocaching we followed another blue dot on my Qype Radar app to this authentic Italian cafe on Upper Richmond Road, where I had the tastiest EVER hot chocolate.
I'm very particular about hot chocolate; the temperature has to be just right, the flavour of the chocolate should dominate that of the milk, yet it shouldn't be too sweet. This was bang on the money. A hot chocolate, two coffees and a massive muffin came in at seven quid, and that included a well-deserved tip. Bargain.
Caffe Al Fresco seems to be a busy little Italian Cafe in East Sheen. You might not have noticed it, but the cafe has a garden in the back with a fish pond. The coffee always smells great when you enter the shop and the decor is actually quite cozy yet modern.
The staff does not seem to be English and it can be a bit difficult to understand them. They make most of their food fresh on that day. Their Italian Ice Cream is great in summer!
The owner actually owns all three places next to each other and you can order authentic Italian food from all three places!
