Discreet and charming, with a large bar area and a very good restaurant.
The service is attentive ,without being obtrusive ,and the standard of cooking is excellent!
Price of house champagne (Delamotte) is reasonable, if ordered by the bottle, otherwise cocktail prices can be a little fearsome.
Bond's restaurant is one of the best places to eat in this area.
I particularly recommend their fish as the chef manages to cook it at perfection -which is so rare.
NB: They tend to stop serving relatively early in the evening.

Just around the corner from the Bank of England, this is a nice place to go for some good French food. The decor is inviting and relaxing and the service exemplary. Their wine list is very nice, but they go a bit off-road with the cocktails - that isn't a criticism, but I find myself wondering at what point a mojito ceases to be a mojito and becomes something else entirely.
I've spent some thoroughly enjoyable lunchtimes here, and most likely will do so again.

Bond's is in a beautiful old building and is a quintessential city restaurant. You need to be smartly dressed to eat here. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious.
It is really a business place not a date place
