The East - Stanborough

The food showed a big drop in standards since last time. Two of us ordered different chicken dishes (kung po, black bean) but both came in bright orange sweet sauce like candy. Accompanied by cold vegetables. Not as good as before.

The food at this restaurant is lovely! It can get very busy, even during the week (the restaurant was packed out at 8pm on Wednesday evening on one occasion).

The service was fairly slow, we waited a while for both our order to be taken and to receive our food. However, it was worth the wait as it was very tasty!

The atmosphere was nice and cosy, possibly due to it being in a building that was once a pub (in fact from the outside it still looks very much like a pub!)

I love this Chinese! I have been to the sister restuarant in Elstree.

This replaced a disgusting pub and is so much better.

They do a fantastic £5 set menu at lunch mon-sat. It’s very modern inside with plenty of seating.

If you are looking for a take away, there is no better with a 20% discount off the menu.

They are always friendly to children.
