The Sorat existed already to GDR times. After the reunion of east and west Germany was the building completely modernized. The hotel has about 80 rooms, is clean and has a good standard. But I have to say that they haven´t done anything with the building for a while - I was there from 2003 at least once every year and nothing has changed. The breakfast (buffet) is rich and very good, also the restaurant "Parduin" in the hotel is very good. WLAN is provided for hotel guests (effective: Beginning 2007)! If one looks for a solid hotel in Brandenburg and does not have very high expectations, then the SORAT is for you.
