Review of Côte Brasserie Blackheath from 13 February 2013
I don't get the negative review from 17th January? I went for an early dinner for my husband's birthday, with my 2yr old daughter and elderly in laws and we all loved it. Service attentive and friendly, fantastic food all hot and freshly cooked, superb kids meals all served with fresh veg, and we even got singing, candles and a complimentary dessert for my hubby. Would definitely go back to try the breakfast menu. A fantastic addition to Blackheath and a world away from the random restaurants that have graced this site before.
Review of Côte Brasserie Blackheath from 17 January 2013
Massive disappointment. The decor is beautiful but the food certainly isn't. This is a glorified Cafe Rouge. Microwaved meals and nothing fresh in sight. Meat clearly not cut fresh, chicken that seemed extremely processed and Creme Brûlée that must have been 'brûléed' about a fortnight ago. Staff friendly but too many waiters serving the one table so it was confusing who we were to order from. It's a shame another chain has invaded Blackheath but the smaller, family-run businesses need not fear. The people of Blackheath can spot quality over smoke and mirrors.
