Although very pricey, I think you get what you pay for. I have been having my hair cut here for years and they won't let you leave until you are 100% satisfied with the results.

Poor pricing and customer service Fleet branch 1. Hidden extras: in addition to advertised price for highlights I paid unadvertised £30 for a blow dry which is obligatory(I wonder why??) which consisted of sitting under a dryer for 15 minutes. The only service the stylist did was put product in my hair. Marc antoni, is that a fair price/ value ratio? Really? 2. At the basin, stylist told me he was putting a vegetable dye on without asking me if I agreed. It stayed on 1 minute. He didn't tell me it would be extra £5. 3. Sent them an e mail re this. They didn't reply. Marc antoni, is this good customer service? Do you think by ignoring it, the problem doesn't exist? Overall, the stylist is very good but Marc antoni is a profit making machine only, demonstrated by these facts.

Used to go to Henley and Reading branches of MA between 2004-2007 then after living abroad returned to the salon in Reading in November. Was given a really young stylist who I am sure ha =d only just qualified and didn’t really have a clue what I wanted. Explained hair was falling out and was clueless about that. Then she cut the most horrific uneven layers into my hair and I was mortified afterwards. She had made a dog’s dinner of it and when I told her I wasn’t happy she got snotty with me and basically told me the it was fine and it would ‘grow’ into itself. I paid £45 for something I really wasnt happy with and for a crappy, inexperienced hairdresser. Dont waste your money going to Marc Antoni in West St. You guys are shit. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.

Having been a customer of both the Reading and Henley salons since 1993; I am incredibly disappointed with the recent decline in standards and service. My last three appointments with my chosen stylists have all been cancelled with little or very short notice. The last two occasions were in preparation for a medal investiture at Buck Palace and my brother-in-law's wedding, neither of which could be moved to their suggested alternative of two weeks later.

I agree with the previous comments that competitions and publicity is now far more important than loyal customers. I have now transferred to a salon in Covent Garden - shame on you Marc Antoni

The management do not exercise a customer oriented ethos.

Been there many times, on one occassion waited over 20 mins while 5 employees surrounded the reception, with one very senior manager discussing a hairdressing competition. They were no more than 6 feet away but I was totally ignored and not offered a coffee - would have preferred a coffee then to avoid getting hair in it while getting hair cut.

Rang Saturday to change appointment time on Monday. Rang Monday to reinstate original time. Spoke to manager of salon who stated appointment time was taken and had to stick to alternative time 4 hours later. When I arrived they were expecting me at the original time slot and the revised time was, in fact, double booked! The telephone conversation was a total waste of time.

The hairdressing competition is considered far more important than customers! Yet their website says
they are “without equal in its policy of high standards of customer service”.

And here is the problem, the hairdresser is brilliant…shame the stylist won’t move to a decent salon.

RE: Reading’s salon

I only had my hair cut here twice and i love the results on both occasions. The stylists were really nice and professional and the environment is friendly and good.

On both occasions, I have different stylist but they both took time to listen to my hair needs (i have dry hairm i want a change of style, i dont have time to 'do’ my hair in the mornings) and they gave me really good cuts.

this place is slightly pricier than the other salons that I have gone to. WOuld have liked to visit get my haircut here more often, but price something which i am really concerned with.

But go for it if you can afford it, as it will deifnitely be worth the price you paid!

I get my hair cut here regularly and love it. The receptionist is really friendly and all the staff are approachable and highly skilled.
I have two stylists, one who does the cutting and another for when I want it coloured and highlighted.
I have never been anything but pleased with the cuts and colours I have had there.
The salon itself is clean and trendy - would highly recommend it!
