strengthofabear: “Came here on New Years Day for Lunch with Ruiz and others, ended up staying till 11pm. Good jukebox. Helpful staff. Nice beer garden. Good location. Food was very average, standard pub stuff at best and not a lot of choice.” more...2 reviews of The Golden Lion in English
This is a proper, old-fashioned London pub - a rarity these days! We went along to the regular first-Sunday-of-the-month music night 'Honky Tonk Sunday' to see a couple of excellent bands. A great night out and well worth the effort. The Guinness was perfect and the punters very friendly. Highly recommended! Will definitely pop in for a pint next time we're up in Camden - a pocket of original charm and a haven from the High Road.
the golden lion is a small pub with a tiny pool table in fact I think it’s the smallest pool table in the world but they do pull a nice pint in there. it’s not the liveliest place in the world. if your walking past it’s worth popping in for a beer.
