For my partners birthday we went to TGI's as we consider this a treat place. On arrival ( friday night ) the restauraunt was busy and loud and we were running slightly late but asked to frequent the bar while our table was ready. half a Bud £1.75, bottomless soft drink £1.99. After around half an hour we were shown to our table. Couples often get the small square table and this happened again next to quite a loud rowdy table often whistling with their fingers and generally being yobbish. But then again it was friday after a long working week. Starter was Chicken Nachos and boneless chicken wings. Very agreeable. Mains was a 6oz rump, Shrimp, Ribs combo and a 8oz New York Strip which was to die for. I actually ordered it medium rare, it came medium and my first thought was to send it back, I thought I would just have a taster before doing so. It melted in my mouth and was exquisit. Best steak EVER. A champagne cocktail followed, and the staff often filling my bottomless soft drink. Staff were attentive throughout, even offered a substitute when I intimated I may want something that wasnt on the menu choice. Top class customer service. Party of yobs aside it was a top night that we may re-visit on a weeknight rather than a weekend. Cost of evening £53.75.

Have had lots of business lunches here, and it has an expectation level as with most Amercian style restaurants of this type.

Generally the food is good quality with friendly staff.American style burgers and mexican, as well steaks and salads also. The Restaurant is very spacious and has a big car park right in front.

Because of its location right next to the M1 it is a very convenient place to meet for business lunch.

My only regret about this place is that it has a great bar with interesting drinks and cocktails, would be excellent to unwind here but alas i live at the opposite side of the city -around 10 miles away from here- so no cheap taxi home, and not a great place to leave a car overnight.

The food here is amazing! Especially the Nachos. You won’t find much better American style tex-mex and burgers in Sheffield. The service is spot on and quick. This after work beer and burger resturant is perfect for a Friday night or special occasions. The prices are a bit higher then pub food but the quality is so much better.

There is loads of parking and it’s located next to the Sleep Inn

TGI’s is a fun place to visit and as long as you dont expect gourmet food then you’ll enjoy it! Typical american menu of burgers, steaks, fajitas etc. The times I have been the food has been lovely, and they do a good choice of cocktails as well! If i was staying at the travel inn next door i would definitely eat here!

I have visited this place twice and wasnt really impressed on both occaisions. The most recent visit was early evening so it wasnt that busy, me and my friend ordered the same, we both had a steak. The service was ok, the amount of time we had to wait was far too long. When the food came we were not impressed at all, the steak wasnt done as we had asked and it was full of fat, the mashed potato that came with it had a hard skin on top, it had obviously been warmed up from earlier. The total bill came to nearly £50 which we were disgusted with as the food was not of a good standard.

T G I Fridays is quite near to meadowhall and is adjacent to a Premier travel inn.

Late afternoon/Early evening and weekends can get busy. Staff are always enthusiastic and friendly the food is great but be warned portions are very big!!!

They do some great cocktails too.

Childrens meals are good too - My older daughter who is very fussy loved the chicken pieces and our younger daughter who we’d gotten the jumbo hotdog for didn’t know where to start as they really weren’t kidding when they said jumbo hotdog!! It must have been a foot long.

They do goodie bags for younger visitors too which includes a colouring in book and some colouring in sticks (3 pencils, 3 crayons), a sticker book and a helium filled baloon to put the stickers on. Sometimes they also offer a deck of cards to entertain slightly older kids.

Soft drinks with your meals are bottomless, so you pay one price and can top up as often as you want to.

highly recommended.
