The Barnet branch of Loch Fyne has CLOSED DOWN, the nearest ones to this address is either St Albums if you live North of Barnet, or Covent Garden if you live South of Barnet.
Great Seafood and value for money? Impossible you say? Well it is possible at Loch Fyne.
The menu is lovely and a good but not overwhelming selection with a few meat dishes for those not keen on food from the deep blue. (Even a veggies starter and main)
We had the lobster bisque which was served at an appropriate temperature. Lovely!
We shared a shellfish platter with crab. It consisted of hot mussels in garlic sauce, razor clam, cold scallops, prawns, smoked crevettes, king prawns, languostines, oysters, squid and a whole crab. (£34 for two people)
We had creme brulee for dessert. Desserts are shown on a board.
I cannot complain in the least about this meal. The service was exceedingly good.
But be warned: make a reservation. They were turning customers away.
