Just had a meal there.
Not only was the ALL the food on the platter burnt the so called breaded prawns were actually off.
We all so had a main meal me and my lass and the two kids.
I had all day English breakfast, Sausage burnt to a crisp, Bacon dry and hard, the eggs were cooked (thank god), bread that came with the meal was stale and i could have easily knocked some one out with it if i threw it at them.
My lass had a surf and turf. The steak was supposed be be done medium how eve i dont think ppl in this place know what medium is and it was burnt to a inch of its life, the Chicken was dry and over cooked, the fish well my lass gave up at that point.
one child had chicken greasy nuggets .. yeh just as it says.
1 child had stale hot dog.
OMG what a hole. Do not eat here. Its a disgrace and the chef needs sacking if indeed there is a chef here at all …
I might add yes there may be a kids area were it would have been nice for our kids to play how ever the foul mouthed scum bags sitting next to us sort of put us off. Think of a channel 4 program that is funny to watch but in reality is a night mare and you have this place down to the ground.
I don’t think I’ve eaten at a Hungry Horse franchise before, but the only slight issue I had was that there could be more items on the menu. However, what was on offer was well-cooked and presented. My steak was cooked to perfection, and they were able to accommodate my request for a baked potato instead of chips.
And, the children’s menus seemed to satisfy the two we brought with us … aged 12 and 1.
The other slight niggle isn’t peculiar to Hungry Horse, but to other, similar restaurants as well. I’d much prefer a waiter to come to us and take the order, rather than go up to the bar to place it, which necessitates making out of lists, and a lot of to-ing and fro-ing if any item isn’t available.
The Shuttle and Loom is located adjacent to a busy supermarket, but, although there seemed to be many customers in, we did manage to find a table, and were served fairly efficiently.
Recently visited here after a few years. Was disappointed that place looked tired and had no atmoshphere. Consequently did not stay long and moved elsewhere. For a weekend evening was quiet.
On a positive note, if you were taking children there seems to be a small play area at the bottom.
