I don't think I would have survived the house-buying experience without this site for help and advice! There are quite a few know-it-alls on the boards, and you do have to develop a bit of a thick skin when asking newbie-type questions - but you will almost always get an answer or the benefit of someone's experience even on the most specific questions.

MSE is the first place to go if you're hunting for a bargain. Their forums are fab too for rare discount codes and info.

I used this website to help with my dispute with BT and it was a massive help! It really helped put me (the customer) in control of the dispute!

Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!! This website has really broken down and simplified money matters for me, and has saved me a bundle in the process! I'm rubbish with understanding credit cards, store credit etc (thus avoiding them altogether!), but step by step information explains to me the best way to beat the money makers away from me and what better options are open to me. And I've gotten in very quickly on sales that are happening as the shopping deals page is quickly updated! Kitting out my first marital home has been so much simpler.

This is a fantastic website and the mrs loves this as it saves money and I love it as it's less money out of the bank LOL :)

I always think that if you lead your life EXACTLY as Martin Lewis suggests you'd be one sad puppy. Sometimes cheapest isn't always best or even that economic in the long term. Furthermore, as a premier division ladies man (check out my avatar, girls...), I'm not certain you'd win somebodies heart with a wad of vouchers and a two-for-one Monday meal deal (if I'm wrong, drop me a line!)...........

But, all this being said, I think that they are a force for greater good. If you look to cut your costs and keep out of d*bt then you keep out of The Man's pocket too; It's always good to stick it to him when you can! It's a good source of free downloads & stuff (I got links to my FREE anti-virus software here...that saved £50 in one go), tasty forums & various best buy tables. The fella doesn't take ad's and is trustworthy too. Oh yes, he does a free weekly email service too. Sign up. Discover your inner Scrooge right now. I have. Humbug.

Great for finding restaurant vouchers in London

This website is a great resourse if you have any queries on best bank accounts, savings on utility bills, credit cards, saving on flight etc. I generally use it to check for the best ISA account each year. Well worth a visit!

This site is a lifesaver! I first came across it in 2005 when I was looking for the best student accounts and Martin's tips and advice guided me in making the best decision for myself.

It's an immensely valuable resource and offers tips and advice on saving money on utility bills, mortgages, groceries, travel and more! The MSE community is a generous and friendly one and members are always happy to answer questions and advice as well.

I subscribe to the weekly newsletter, which is always packed with new offers and up to date advice - it's saved me money many times! At the moment they are donating 50p to the Haiti relief cause for every new subscriber to their newsletter too!

I love this site as it has so many useful money saving tips. It's a great site to look out for advise and discounts to restaurants and shops... I've saved loads using these discounts :)

Also makes you think about your spending habits too and look at ways to cut the spending and stop companies charging you for things they should not be charging you for!
