This was pretty poor italian food. The service by our very young waiter was passable, and that’s the only reason I’m giving this place ONE star.
The house wine was like cheap vinegar and the manager refused to change it. The food itself was well below average. When I go out for dinner, I don’t want average, I want special and you are not going to get special here.
Avoid the manager. His attitude sucks.

Looks nice enough form the outside but what a disappointment. The antipasti was tasteless and generic, my pizza soggy and warm and my husband’s veal was most definitely frozen and thawed and as a result, grey and bland.
I hate giving negative reviews but in this case it is totally justified.
Mandy.

Reading the Web page was inspiring – now the web page is closed due to “persistant non payment of web design costs”.
But dining in the restaurant on a Saturday evening in June was really disappointing. They write that they use local ingredients and such from Napoli. This is nothing but a lie. I had the mixed antipasti and this was nothing other than prepacked stuff from ASDA. A cheap Salami (probably a German – for sure not an Italian), a cheaper Prosciutto – and the worst thing was the form ham. Three Olives from the glass were the rest.
The pasta we had was not bad – but: It’s nothing wrong about dried pasta, but it should be cooked “Al Dente”. The sauces were ok but without fantasy.
Service was bad – it took me 15 minutes to order a coffee and a tea… staff was friendly, but not service oriented.
The decoration in the restaurant is – let’s say – with few love. The idea with the pizza oven in the front is great, but should be made really nice.
All in all: it could be a very nice restaurant, but with the current decoration, service and food this restaurant will not be what it could be. With little money and a little effort they really could make a great restaurant.
As my girls friend said on Saturday evening: It’s a restaurant for once a year before cinema – but not if we want to dine… I go a step further – never again.
Why my comment is that late after my visit? I wrote a letter to them to give them a chance to answer – no answer at all…

I’ve had better food and service in McDonalds.
The pizza I ordered was luke warm by the time it arrived – an hour after I had ordered it, I didn’t return it as I’d waited so long and was starving. The staff are rude and self occupied, with the duty of serving the customers furthest from their minds. Not even an apology for the delay! Half way through eating it, I pulled a long dark hair out of a mouthful (I have short hair) – That was the last straw, I couldn’t eat another mouthful. I ordered the bill – which surprisingly enough was produced a damn sight quicker than the pizza was.
It’s a shame I have to give this place 1 star, if I could rate it 0 I would. There are far better places to eat in Luton – McDonalds being one of them.
Avoid at all costs, food poisoning awaits you otherwise.

It's not just the greatest ITALIAN restaurant in Luton, it's the best full stop!
If you didn't go to the 'old' Di Niro's, you must try the new (the old Green Room/Saddlers/Buck Wild's building). Now the top food, great atmosphere, friendly staff and unbeatable prices are boosted by lovely surroundings, including a fantastic outdoor area - just like being in Italy!
Plus downstairs there's all day breakfast, take away lunch stuff - still with the best pizza in town on the menu - tea and coffee, cakes etc.
All that and now a help-yourself carvery on Sundays too! Meat and veg to die for.
These boys are really looking after us. if you haven't been, give it a go, seriously.

This is a great family run restaurant in Luton. The family who own it are lovely and the chef always makes a point of coming out and chatting to everyone, or even singing! They always make you feel really welcome. The food is good and very well priced, good enough to go out mid week! The wine list is good and does change, the rose wine they have at present is very good. The surroundings are contemporary and comfortable. I would totally recommend Niro’s to anyone!

Niro’s is a really nice italian ristorante in Luton.
The Starters are a Must - really delicious fresh food!
For the main course I had a pizza which was SO HUGE! I never saw a pizza that size before. You could probably split it by 2.
It also was really good.
People around there are nice and there’s a nice italian atmosphere around the place.
Starters are around 5 £ and Main courses between 5 and 10 £ so its really not that expensive and worth the money!
Just go check it out!
/Edit:
I have to add to my review that Niro’s is in my view definetly the best italian restaurant in Luton. The food is just amazing, the staff is always smiling and friendly and the atmosphere is perfect as well!
