Aye...know what you mean. My mum used to work at a greasy spoon nearby nearly 40 years ago, and used to join in with the joyous officers who had a group of IRA suspects in their cells. The caf has now gone, as well as the reputation of some of the officers...as it became clear the anti-Irish actions of the populist press of the time was almost like a drug for hairy-reared officers who wanted to 'teach then a lesson'.

I have been to many hotels in my time. What they need to do is improve front of house with some carpeting, plants and fresh flowers and low level lighting. I couldn't see a concierge desk at all. The rooms should be ensuite and when i asked for a soft feather mattress they said "yes", but didn't bring one. Room service wasn't too bad though, and the chauffeur service was very speedy. I mean, c’mon, it’s a police station - these guys are here to help you or someone you know. This station is all about community safety, which means if you are a victim or have witnessed events of violence or attacks, these guys will look after you.
