Mixed review as we have eaten in the restaurant before and the service, food and modern setting was very good.
However this weekend we had a takeaway and the food tasted stodgey and very plain.
Maybe they have a different chef for the takeways.
This is a well run and great Chinese restaurant. The food is in my view the best in town. Only down side it’s a tiny bit modern in it’s decor. Apart from that excellent food always. I take my mum there whenever she visits.

Been living in Crystal Palace for a year now and never been into this Chinese restaurant. Probably for two reasons: 1) I work right next to Chinatown; and 2) if I’m craving Chinese food of an evening I usually turn to the take away drawer in my kitchen.
So it was a nice change to be taken along to this place by a couple of friends. We ordered the banquet for two people and added an extra main dish to cover the three appetities sat at the table.
Its really good value for money with a selection of starters, followed by crispy duck pancakes (and who doesn’t like them?!) and then the main: sweet and sour prawns (served in half a pineapple), garlic pork, and our added extra of crispy chilly bef (with the right level of spiciness).
Everything was tasty, there wasn’t any evidence of any MSG overload and we all came out completely stuffed having paid about £20 each (beers included).

Great food, both for eating in and takeaway. It can feel a little bit quiet/reserved inside at times, but the food more than makes up for this. And they don’t rush you, which is a bonus.
