This is by far my best asian restaurant in Düsseldorf. Choice is awesome. The menu system is unique and treats vegetarians and non-vegetrians equally.

Practically you can make any dish vegetarian or non-vegetarian. No europeanisation in food. Authentic asian.

Spice levels are authentic too. Service is little laggy and not so friendly. However for the food, you can excuse their service standards.

Excellent food, if you don’t have a reservation I suggest you go early then you’ll get a place.
Small, cosy and really friendly owners.
Great cocktails

Not an insider's tip anymore, this restaurant probably requires you to reserve a table if you want to be sure to get a seat. I finally got around to check it out myself and it's a good restaurant. The premises are not very big, which might be an explanation for the reservation need. But the decoration is nice and as far as I can tell it's altogether very Laotian.

The food is of great quality and tastes just as well, though personally I prefer my vegetables to be well-cooked instead of firm (but that's a matter of taste). The restaurant is also famous for it's cocktails, which come highly recommended after a dinner.

The staff is very friendly and attentive.

I've worked in Laos for sometime and I can tell you the food at Laung Prabang is the real deal! Very authentic and yummy. Good service and nice decor. One of my favorite places in Dusseldorf!
