Moda Hairdressing

I have been a regular of Tina's at Moda for going on 7 years and haven't looked back since I gave up the 'sheep shearing' I used to get at different barbers. All in all a much better, more relaxing and professional service. Always well looked after and made to feel more like a friend than just another punter. It's all part of why no one has cut my hair since and why my 2 year old son also has his hair cut by 'Big Joshy' (as he calls him) in the Moda team. Another great haircut yesterday and special mention to Tigi Hard to Get which I have used since my first visit. Thanks Tina for helping me abandon greasy waxy products which made me look like a 1950s throwback!

I had a style change at Moda hairdressing with Tina. I can only say  she is FAB!!!! The service was excellent  :)  Tina is professional, friendly, with loads of experience and a charming warm character. She listened to my ideas and and gave excellent advise on what would actually fit my face and hair. She took her time and spent a good hour to cut my hair and make me beautiful. I am very happy with my new style and definitely going back to the saloon :)

I went to moda after 4 months of backpacking, my hair was badly damaged from the sun and using cheap shampoo. Tina was fantastic, she gave a great consultation and said she wanted to cut my hair and get it in a good condition before putting colour on. She gave me a beautiful cut and my hair feels amazing! Can't wait to go back in a month to get my colour done! I would say its a little expensive but well worth the money. 

I cannot praise Moda highly enough, I finally love my hair after 30 years of hating it, and it's all thanks to the wonderful Tina. She listened to what I wanted and explained exactly how I could have the hair I'd always dreamed of. She was genuinely interested in making me look my best and made me feel that she really cared about giving me a great hairstyle. The salon is very friendly and has a great atmosphere and I am definitely going to become a regular. I also thought it was very good value for money. 

I went to Moda several weeks ago for a complete restyle with Tina. I couldn't compliment her enough: she made me feel very welcome, listened to my ideas and hair routine and the final effect was fantastic. I went from long hair to very short and Tina 'produced' a style that perfectly suits my rounded face and doesn't require me to spend more than a couple of minutes in the morning to prepare the new 'messy' look - which is exactly what I wanted. I would recommend the salon with all my heart. It is quite pricey from my point of view, but for a finish that I'm very comfortable and confident with I'm ready to spend a bit more.
I'm going back soon for a trim, which is something new for me as I don't usually go to the same salon twice, but I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair now, so it's very possible that I found MY OWN hairdresser...

FANTASTIC - 5 STAR!!

Having just only moved to Bristol from Spain i was very worried about finding a new hairdresser. I am very fussy about my hair and about how much is cut off the ends as well as perfect co lour due to such high standards i received in Spain. I wanted to find a sophisticated and chic salon with a high level of stylists from a range of young to more experienced as well as a salon which has true passion for hair. When i moved to the area i was invited by Bristol university to an event where i could meet professionals in the world of work and one of the experts that has been asked to attend all of the meeting was the talented Tina Lombardi. I began talking to her and discovered her salon and the strong passion she had for hairdressing even after many years in business. She is a fantastic business women with knowledge in all areas and an expert (as called at the event) is CORRECT!! I researched the salon before visiting and was amazed with the chic stunning salon and the stylish fashionable and creative stylists that are part of the team with all different strengths. I immediately felt much more happier as well as seeing their huge range of retail products and displays without forgetting some stunning images from catwalk shows where they have done the hair. I saw that they had an on line booking link which i am very used to in Spain so i booked on line and saw a variety of offers of the month on and such knowledge being shown about products/colour/wedding hair etc. I booked in (very excited and full of expectations) at moda and had the director of the salon Tina Lombardi. Immediately as i walked in i was greeted by a beautiful long dark haired polite and friendly young girl and taken straight through (NO WAITING) i was asked to take a seat in Tina's red chair (a true VIP service) with a stunning mirror...wanted to take it home with me!! I was offered a selection of beverages and magazines before having a great consultation with Tina. Tina listened to eveything i said and took all my ideas that i had on board  and made me feel so comfortable. She is  TRUE inspiration with her fantastic work that she has achieved. During my fantastic experience at the salon i was spoken to by many lovely members of the team. The salon was buzzing and there was such a lovely interaction with all of the clients. It was a delight to be there. I felt like a celebrity as Tina put the heated rollers (the o) in my hair. I always have this done in Spain to give me volume and hold and it looked amazing. Over all i WOULD 10000000000% Recommend moda to EVERYONE....they are such a talented group of individuals and even though there are a few younger stylists who are learning they show such enthusiasm to hairdressing. The salon is amazing and really reflects what moda is about....chic and sophisticated talented hairdresser. I understand and i feel that everyone should too when stylists want to be a hairdresser and are training they are not perfect as they are learning and no one is perfect but Tina thoroughly checks every detail through with the younger stylists and she is moda. Fantastic.
P.s: what an amazing moroccon oil display.....the BEST i have seen, it is my favorite product!! 9So;d by experts)! Hasta lluego moda :) !!!!

My Moda experience was brilliant!!!
I was very nervous as I was having a massive change.....going from platinum blonde to dark brunette.
The whole team made me feel extremely welcome and comfortable and the finishing result was amazing.
Will be going there again.

I've been going to Moda for years now, love the personal service and the fact that they are another lovely family run independent business on the Gloucester Road.

Recently i had a cut and colour at Moda- i was really looking foward to a great expereince and new 'do' after reading the fab reviews on here . I did a colour patch test when i went into book the appt, but on the day of the appt there was no proof that i'd had it done and therefore ( after being asked by 4 different members of staff if i had a patch test, and filling two different forms) i had to do another patch test which meant i couldnt have my hair coloured on that day. Netherless i had the cut which was ok . I went back for the colour about a week later and though the service by Natasha was good, the overall experience and end result is disappointing,  which is is not the experience and end result  i was expecting from a professional salon and for the high price i'd paid for it . :(

Got my hair cut and coloured at Moda recently, the experience was absolutely fantastic! Everyone was incredibly friendly and for once in years I came out happy. Tina is brilliant and listened to what I wanted rather than what she thought was best for my hair (Hairdressers often take an inch off my hair to mean 4 inches). I will definitely be going back, it was worth every penny!  

Went in today for an up do to get ideas for my fast approaching wedding, and I really could not fault the service that I received when I arrived at the salon. Upon arrival I was immediately asked for my appointment details and sat down with a drink and the offer of reading material.

Once I had taken my seat with Tina Lombardi, I immediately felt like I was being taken care of, not only because of Tina's fantastic personality and knowledgable experience with hair styling, but the rest of the creative team were all looking on and offering Tina assistance where requested. I truly felt excited about my hair styling and the entire experience for me felt special and truly VIP! Definitely coming back again! :-)

I usually go to cheap men’s barbers but went to Moda to see if I would get a better quality cut. I was really pleased with the cut and all the staff are very friendly so will definitly go back.

I have just returned from Moda for a trail for my wedding hair. Moda was recommended to me by a friend as without having a regular hairdresser myself I was struggling finding someone I felt I could trust for such an important day. I was nervous meeting Tina for the first time but she instantly put me at ease, the welcome to the salon, the atmosphere and all the staff were amazing. Tina spent a long time talking to me, listening to my ideas and showing me pictures of her work (which was very reassuring!), all free of charge I might add. I returned a week later (today) for the actual trail and I could not be happier, Tina took my ideas (which she really had listened to) and expertly turned them into a fantastic look perfect for me. I cannot wait to have it done for real on the day and I know that is one thing I will not have to give one second of worry to in the next few weeks.

I haven’t even had the real thing done yet and I would still happily recommend Moda to anyone who will listen!

My whole Moda experience was fantastic. I had Bev do my hair and she was a true profession but also such a lovely easy going and friendly person. I booked to have my hair both coloured and cut and I was very aprehensive as not only was I trying a new salon but I decided to go for a whole new look. When I went down to Moda two days before my appointment to get a skin patch test Bev was fantastic, she sat me down and had a consultation with me about what sort of colour I wanted to go, she was honest with her opinion on what would suit me and she talked me through my options and made me feel totally at ease so that on my day of my actual appointment I was able to just walk in and be pampered. All the staff were fantastically supportive and encoraging of my new look, coming over to comment on the lovely colour and both Stacey and Melissa made the enviroment so comfortable and friendly I totally did not feel like a new customer at all but like an old friend. I always worry when I get my hair cut aswell due to some hairdressers wanting to snip away at my fairly long hair, Bev was amazing, she actually showed me exactly how much she was taking off and checked with me throughout so my hair was exactly as I wanted it, she even talked me through how to maintain my hairs condition and I walked away with some fantastic new products. I would go as far as to say that she is the best hairdresser I’ve met and I won’t be letting anyone else touch my hair again! I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever recieved so many compliments in one day The student discount made the salon extremely affordable which is amazing seeing as it is probably the highest quality salon I have ever been to and overall I give the salon and the team 5 stars, I’m extremely impressed and a very happy customer, I will definately be returning!

I have been going to MODA every 8 – 10 weeks since 2006. Charlotte and Bev have been doing my colour and cuts, and I never fail to get the highest compliments from friends and co workers on my hair. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else to get my hair done…and if I ever move away I’ll have to come back every 8 – 10 weeks!

I think the team (family) that Tina has created is amazing and the vibe in the salon is one of creativity and professionalism. I always feel like I’ve been the only customer in the place with the amount of care and attention lavished by the staff.

I highly recommend MODA, and especially Bev and Charlotte!

I would recommend MODA to anyone my whole family use Moda and not one of us has a bad word or bad hair day after a visit.

I take my family to Tina's family. It really is a great place with alot of talent and just the right amount of personal attention required. I cannot praise in particular Bev my stylist and Tina enough.

Bev knows what I want and delivers on every level a fantastic stylist and amazing at colour. A treasure.

Our most recent trip involved my Mum and two of my daughters and we all came out looking fantastic after having the five star treatment that you always get at Moda.

It;s over an hours drive for us but well worth it I have not found anything closer that offers half as much as Moda.

Moda was recommended to me by a friend when I moved to Bishopston in 2009 and I have been having my haircut there by Bev ever since. Tina and her team do a great job of striking the balance between the professional and the personal, putting you at ease from the moment you walk through the door with their bright and cheerful demeanours and entertaining banter amongst the team. Whatever time of day it is Bev, Tina and the rest of the team radiate positivity and Bev is fantastic at turning my inarticulate mumblings about what I think I want done that day into an impressive result. Moda is by far the best hairdresser I have been to in Bristol and is a fantastic advert for other independent businesses on the Gloucester Road, I really hope Tina and the team continue to reap the success and acclaim that they deserve.

I heart Moda hairdressing. All the stylists are so friendly, having my haircut is such a treat, mostly due to how brilliant all the girls (and boys!) are at the salon. I feel like I'm going for a good old catchup whilst being made to look super glam. The team are very welcoming, and I've always been made to feel like a friend rather than a client.

Bev does my hair and listens to the fact that I'm rubbish at doing my own hair, so cuts and colours it in such a way that it's very low maintenance when doing it at home.

I'd highly recommend people to get their do's done at Moda, you won't regret it!

Was recommended Moda 4 years ago when I first moved here and had had a bad haircut elsewhere. Moda rescued me and I have been going regularly ever since.

My 2 sons, aged 9 and 13 love Richie cutting their hair into the latest style.

They are so attentive from the very first moment you walk in, no-one is ever kept waiting and I've never got over how happy they always are, ready to banter and have a laugh with you.

They've cut my short hair and now styled it as long hair. They've coloured and highlighted it. Tina even wowed my groom on my wedding day with the most brilliant hairstyle!!!

And yes, the head massage is great - so relaxing!!
