Starry Starry Night

VERY RUDE MAN WHO WORKS/RUNS THE PLACE NASTY PEICE OF WORK!

Everywhere I travel, expectations to the local vintage and retro shops are researched and planned. I’ve been to most vintage stores in the UK, Europe and many in North America and Asia.

I could not recommend Starry Starry Night at all.

The old dear who owns it, is outright rude and condensing when talking to customers. Even her own staff seemed ashamed of they way she was speaking to people.

Perhaps it’s because I caught her out on the claimed age of a coat. It’s quite a push to claim a coat as “certainly before 1920”, when the stitching and lingin are clearly 1960/70s . But I did question the age in a very unknowing way.

Everything is over priced – higher than trendy East London boutiques. Quality of the items is poor and smell of moth balls and damp.

this shop is magical i love the display of massive vintage brooches i wish someone would buy me one for xmas etc but no it never happens sniff…. i love opening the drawers and pulling out vintage scarves and evening gloves etc … quite expensive some of the stuff but you know theres not much chance of any one wearing the same as you at a party etc

This little shop if just off byres road, on the same little side street as relics. They both have this fogotten charm, and full of nostagia and history. This however is a vintage clothes shop. Well all clothes shop, whit all manners of costume in it. Spent hours looking though all the treats to be had here. There’s also accessories and jewelry on sale. Its like traveling back in time. Visiting this shop relics, and another on this little side street made a my afternoon! Fantastic!!
