Attended a food expo in Paris and booked accomodation late. Most hotels were full but we found this hotel on the internet. Getting to the hotel was very easy from Gard du Nord, taking metro 5 to Republique. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke great English. He showed me and my colleague our rooms. We both had doubles and they looks newly decorated. The bathroom was very modern and the shower had good pressure. The bed was very comfortable. The only painful part was the LCD TV on the wall. They only had 5 french channels and I thought an International news channel would have been good. However there is free wireless internet throughout the hotel.

Breakfast was simple but effective. Cornflakes, juices and coffee. Then fresh baguettes, pastries, jam and butter. Self service but tasty. Our rooms were around €110 a night and that was during a peak time.

I would definately recommend staying there as the surrounding areas offer a lot of options in terms of food and drink.
