Palm Court Hotel

I have never stayed overnight at this hotel but have attended a number of functions and had many afternoon teas with my wife. The food is excellent and the best in Scarborough. I would highly recommend it to anyone. May be a bit pricey for some people but worth every penny! Service second to none.

Established in scarborough for years, this is an ok place to stay - certainly a cut above your average Bed and Breakfast and much more comfortable and luxurious than the budget hotels close by.

The Palm Court underwent an extensive refurbishment programme a year or so ago, and as a result looks much tidier and less budget than it used to from the outside. On the inside its very clean and well maintained and has a comfortable and familiar feel to it. There is a small, but adequate, pool area, which is visible to anyone eating in the restaurant. The food served is unspectacular but usually very nice and the staff are all friendly and give the impressio that they are interested in their customers, which is a bit of a rarity in this day and age.

Prices are acceptable. You’ll pay a lot more at other hotels close by and get a lot less and be a LOT more uncomfortable and under appreciated than you’ll be here. As stated above, not much of a view from the rooms due to the central location, but thats only a minor issue. It doesnt pretend to be better than it is and does very well at what if offeres.

A while since I stayed here , but very nice. Has its own bar with very good staff, very nice restraunt.
there is an indoor swimming pool and also a steam room which has seen better days , but still does its job.
Very central but the room don’t have much of a view, large underground carpark, also carpark right on the door step.
Sister hotel around the corner the St Nicholas is much better.
