DO NOT GO HERE had a voucher for teeth whiting through group for £100 my teeth did not look any different at all! Very disappointed and groupon or them will not do anything about it! Also when i was waiting at 9am the door was open but there was noone at reception it was like a ghost town, it wasnt til 9:15 that finally someone came out to reception! Even worse I bought it as a present for my sister and boyfriend and they both said the same their teeth had not even changed! Absolute con and rip off! All they are interested in is getting you there and trying to sel you extra products - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Review of Kensington Dental Spa from 11 April 2013

I bought a Groupon Voucher for "Zoom 2 Laser Teeth Whitening Plus Air Flow Sparkle and Polish". Where do I start, I attempted to contact the establishment as I aslo wanted to have some bonding done on my teeth and arrange an appointment, the receptionist had an distorted accent that was almost impossible to decipher. I decided to call some days later hoping that I would have better luck, to my dismay it was the same person, he then abruptly dismissed my query saying " You need talk to dentist when you see him, I cannot make any appointments as Groupon is not really important, go on line", common sense should have told me to get a refund as the manner of which this establishment operates isn't comforting.
I then proceded online to book my appointment, to my "surprise" appointments were only available Monday-Thursday 9am-12am, when the average human-being is at work, still I ignored my instincts and confirmed an appointment on Tuesday 9th April 2013 @ 9.00am. As it goes my train was delayed by 12 minutes, which made me late to my appointment by 16.5 minutes. On arrival I was told by a young man that i will be charged £75.00 for being late, or I have the option of getting my teeth "polished only", but what really ticked me off is when he finished up with " YOU PAY £75 OR LOOSE £119.00".
I was really upset and distressed at this point, I demanded to speak to someone in charge, and this was the worst thing i could possibly do, as a man who I assume is a dental practitioner came out and grabbed my arm out the single chair I was seated in" and attempted to physically remove me, throwing my hand-bag out the door shouting and verbally abusing me using racist slurs. At this point I was completely petrified and called the police, who came immediately, thank heavens........
This was the most unprofessional, horrible and disgusting behaviour I have ever experienced and I intend to press assault charges against that individual in particular and report this to trading standards.
The ONE STAR rating is for the lovely female receptionist who tried to resolve the situation, thank you for all your concern.

After complaining about this deal through the Advertising Standards Agency I got a full refund from Groupon.

It’s awful how the Kensington Dental Spa is operating and treating it’s customers. Groupon should not continue to do business with them as they are con artists and know nothing about customer service.
Please make sure you lodge a formal complaint with the ASA you will get a full refund if you do this.

Hi I too had problems and to let you know natkd I did get a full refund, I got my refund with groupon did you get your natkd I hope ypu did!!! How awful was your experience becca, I am too going to complain too to address you gave me, I will make sure next time to look up reviews. Becca I hope your ok more complaints made I’m sure groupon if they had any respect would never use them again!!! I would like to warn anyone considering having their teeth whitened "DONt"!! It's a total con it doesn't work and all they are trying to sell you is the home kit, I went there with my groupon voucher the place is very clean I must say the lady who dealt with me was pleseant enough but starting going on about that since October 2012 A new law has changed and the peroxide is only 6% which is actually stronger than before I have looked this up she then tried to sell me a home kit I hadn't even had my teeth whitened at this point she was showing me the colour of my teeth before and was choosing darker colours which I said no they are not, I went ahead when it was finished couldn't wait to get me out of chair and asked me again do I want to buy home kit she quickly show my new teeth I said they don't look much different she said that's ok the will look better in a few hours, they didn't I urge anyone complain to groupon if there is enough complaints they cannot ignore it I'm also going to return to the dentist and I am going to have it out with them I won't

I received another email from Groupon over the weekend saying that they are unwilling to refund me. It’s disgraceful.
I hope now that I have complained via the offical channels I willl finally get the refund I deserve.
Groupon had the cheek to say that they have a good working relationship with their regulators……….not sure that is true at all!!

I visited the Kensington Dental Spa yesterday to attend my Groupon deal of Zoom 2 Laser Teeth Whitening Plus Airflow Sparkle and Polish.

From the moment I stepped into the consultant’s room I was told that legislation has changed and the limit for the peroxide is now 6% so would only change the shade of me teeth by 1 to 2 shades!! He then said that I should purchase the home whitening kit for another £295 to get my teeth really white. At this point I started to feel disappointed even before the treatment had finished as it seemed that the deal I had bought was not as advertised. I bought the deal because the link that Groupon showed about Zoom 2 whitening said that teeth would be lightened by 7 to 8 shades, if it had said 1 to 2 I wouldn't have bought it.

I feel like this deal was a complete con in order for Kensington Dental Spa to try and make more money out of you by pushing the home whitening kits for another £300!

If you haven't used your Groupon voucher I would request a refund, you will be disappointed and you will be pushed into spending another £295 which isn't right.

I think this is disgusting and I will be complaining directly to Groupon.

Yep I totally agree. They are currently refusing to give me a refund but I’m not willing to let it drop and I hope you won’t either. If they continue to refuse me a refund then I will lodge a complaint with the advertising standards agency who groupon have previously been in trouble with.
Looking at these reviews there are several unhappy customers and with the lack of results achieved with this deal I would presume that anyone who bought this deal would be disappointed and wanting their money refunded.
Anyone reading this who has had this procedure and is as disgusted as the rest of us then please pursue groupon for a refund, they shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this.

I am going up to the dentist tomorrow and I will tell them if they do not refund I will stand outside and hand out flyers with the complaints that people have made I will also say look at my teeth are they white… Are they hell!!! I won’t let this drop it’s a scam and a total con I have a link I can send to you if you can message me privately or might send it here if I can where it says they have upped the use of peroxide not weaken it she tried to sell me the gel and trays 3 times it’s terrible to be conned

Just been to the KDS and staff were very friendly & place was clean, purchased Zoom 2 Laser Teeth Whitening Plus Airflow Sparkle and Polish for £119 via groupon- I must say the procedure wasn't painful just uncomfortable at times as your in the chair for an hour, was put off at start as dentist said that as of 5 months ago, you can't have peroxide whitening done at a higher concentration than 6% peroxide now or something so some people don't notice any difference in shade after procedure ( not great for £119 price tag!) plus he kept saying if I wanted white teeth I must purchase the home kit - I didn't take my purse as I didn't want to be forced to buy anything. The home kit was mentioned at least 5 times. Anyway am looking at my teeth and I've got to say they aren't much whiter, clean yes and i appreciate that and front 2 teeth seem brighter but rest look the same, certainly wouldn't pay that sort of money again. Nice place but shame procedure wasn't up to what i had hoped.

I got my teeth whitened here, I could hardly notice a difference afterwards, I felt the whole thing was very rushed. Found it quite unprofessional, people kept entering the room during my procedure and the procedure was not even explained to me. I had a groupon voucher that was mentioned alot so I feel the result was not as good as I had a voucher. They then tried to persuade me to spend another 200 pounds on a teeth whitening kit, ??? after getting my teeth whitened. Would definitely not recommend this place.

So disappointed. I had saved up to get my teeth whitened (I'm a student). On the day someone threw themselves infront of the train ahead. I couldn't call ahead as I was the first appointment and they weren't open yet and when they did open I was underground. The result was I turned up 30 minutes late, but still with more than half my treatment time left. That I had already paid for. They told me to get stuffed basically and that they wouldn't refund me a penny. I had to stand there and really argue before they stopped being completely dismissive which wasted another 20 minutes of treatment time I had paid for. They said they wouldn't refund me anything but one of them would give me a really good sparkle polish or whatever it's called. Well don't bother yourself with that treatment because it made no difference whatsoever. They said because I'd bought it through a special offer I'd barely lost money anyway (still a lot of money to me). I was not given the opportunity to reschedule and the whole place was a stuck up scam.

You I was thinking that myself I had treatment total rip off will be informing groupon also about the peroxide being less it’s total rubbish they have actually upped it I read up on this and it’s actually a stronger one now I will be bringing the article with me when I go up back to dentist no way are they getting way with this a scam by all accounts

I had my teeth whitened here last week. I'd like to say thank you to Dr Giorgio who was professional yet friendly and very reassuring throughout the whole procedure. (Word of advice to Dr Giorgio: live with some non-italians, and just cook pasta and pizza in your new place - it will still feel like home!) The reception staff were also polite.

There are so many TERRIBLE reviews on here that I have to think that you either work at the Dental Spa or are a close relative or friend of Dr Giorgio, hence this very unusual 5* review. And I would ditto that for the review below too. I had considered buying this from Groupon but I have to say that wild horses would allow me to do so now. Thank you one and all for your honest reviews and for saving me some money!

I was recommended to KDS by a friend. Having had a great trouble in finding a good dentist in London, I became a patient of Dr Hanel Nathwani, two years ago. As dentist got to say he is a perfectionist, and very professional. After being a patient for a year he suggested to have my teeth straightened the result has been fantastic.
I could not recommend the KDS enough. It makes the trip to the dentist an absolute pleasure. It is often hard to find an excellent service in London, in my view Dr Hanel and Kensington Dental Spa are the Rolls Royce of dentistry simply outstanding! I would recommend him to anyone.

This place was an absolute disgrace. On my first and only visit this evening the female dentist struggled to take X-Rays correctly. She spent 20 minutes trying to get 4 X-Rays and could not work the machine correctly. I ended up having to help out after she dug the black strip into the bottom of my mouth causing me to audibly swear. I gave up when she couldn’t get the 4th X-Ray after the 5th time of trying. I apologised and walked out. Was it the machine as she claimed? Rubbish. That should be dentistry 101 – and I’ve been to a fair few dentists in my day! I told her that I had absolutely no confidence in her abilities – not a chance i was going to let her near me with a needle or a drill. Good God, a lucky escape! Anyway, I’m going back to my old dentist in the West End. Fantastic professionals – regretting going to this Spa. Should have stuck with my old dentist, even if it is a bit of a trek from where I live. And when I told the staff on the front desk, they looked as though they couldn’t care less. Seriously un-professional all round. Oh – and no toilet paper in the toilet at the Spa.

Last April I decided to make a consultation appointment with Kensington Dental for a Six-month Smile cosmetic treatment. It was the most pleasant and welcoming experience that I have ever encountered. Dr. Nathwani introduced himself and asked me about dental needs and expectations, answered all my questions patiently. He was so kind and caring. I was impressed with his passion and enthusiastic attitude about his practice and staff. It took four months only to complete my Six-month Smile dental treatment and now I love my beautiful smile and I am happy to share I receive many compliments. He is a dental artist. It is great to be associated with an honest dental practice with fair prices

I was really impressed with the level of service that I received from KDS and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. I must admit, I was extremely nervous about the tooth whitening procedure and had my concerns, however my dentist very nicely explained the procedure to me and answered all my questions. I decided to go ahead with the procedure and Dr Bantleon was very professional and helpful throughout it, providing me with check-ups to see how my teeth were responding to the whitening process.
Overall, my experience has been superb and the appointments were great as I could usually fit them in between my lunch hour. My teeth are now a lot whiter and I am very happy with the care I received under Dr Bantleon. He has been thoroughly competent and dedicated throughout my visits.

My treatment at Kensington Dental Spa was intense and consisted of the whole tooth set being replaced with crowns and bridges. During this treatment I always felt in safe hands and moreover their dentist made himself available to me on Saturdays and Sundays if needed.

People often ask how I endured the pain of having braces but I can honestly say that I didn’t have any! The team at Kensington Dental Spa makes you feel so relaxed and your mouth is completely numb so you don’t feel a thing. I can say that is the best money that I have ever spent. When I compare my results to others I know who have veneers I definitely made the right choice as the quality, shape and fit just don’t compare to the others which I have seen.

I approached Kensington Dental Spa looking for a solution to my teeth insecurities that had been plaguing me for years. At my first appointment I attended the Dental Spa feeling nervous and anxious as to what may be suggested. However, they explained all the options to me and carefully explained all procedures and costs. At every appointment their team made me feel very relaxed and also let me see the original photographs of my teeth which would encourage me to put 100% into the treatment, even at the difficult times (eg- the filing stages, ouch!!). Five months later I have straight teeth, a new smile and 100% more confidence and this is down to Kensington Dental Spa.

I would like to thank Kensington Dental Spa for my new beautiful smile and for the excellent customer care and service. After consulting Kensington Dental Spa I was surprised to find out that I can have straighter teeth in less than six months, it was the appearance of the braces which are barely noticeable that encouraged me to start the treatment immediately. It is hard to express in words how happy I was seeing my teeth becoming straighter. In just a couple of months my smile changed dramatically and I couldn’t be happier now.
At Kensington Dental Spa they put patients’ needs first and make sure that they get the best treatment.

Before I came to Kensington Dental Spa, one of my front teeth had become so loose it had to be removed. I was attracted to them because they offered emergency treatment, 24hour help, and seemed to be very professional with excellent testimonials. They straight away helped me, treated me as a person, understood my anxieties and sense of urgency and they had a long term plan. They explained everything to me in a straightforward way, honestly and professionally. Every day I look at my natural looking straight white teeth and train myself to smile again. Without then that might not have been possible. It is really true that Kensington Dental is a “smile spa”.

I have had my teeth realigned top and bottom and also a few teeth filled during this time at Kensington Dental Spa. To finish the process I have had my teeth whitened. My smile has been totally transformed over the last eighteen months and I am very pleased with the results. I have always found them courteous and professional. I have always trusted their judgment on my treatment plan and been happy with the results.
