Took my daughter along to see High School Musical 3 this weekend. Ok, not got the best plotline but the dancing was entertaining enough.
Anyway, enough about the film. The cinema is conveniently placed for parking which means you don’t have to tramp around in the rain to get there (a la Vue). The staff are very friendly - we got there far too early and ended up having a good old chat with one of the ushurettes (I know, they’re not called that these days but I can’t remember the proper title for them!).
Sweets and drinks are still a rip-off but that’s the same for any cinema. Anyway, being a canny mum I’d already bought supplies from Tesco.
The seating is very comfortable although, as my daughter pointed out, they don’t slope as much as the seats in Vue so if you’re stuck with a six footer sitting in front of you, you may have a bit of a problem. Also, we found it a bit cold in there.
On leaving, Odeon had arranged for a local stage school to send some of their pupils to sing and dance to the High School Musical soundtrack in the foyer. It was a nice touch.
Priced the same as Vue and also offer student discount.
