Old Punch Bowl

My wife and i came in for a drink on easter monday afternoon .i ordered a pint of beer and my wife a large glass of rose and nachos.The glass which the wine was served in was dirty and my wife asked the bartender for a clean glass and she got very upst and saying i can assure you the glass was clean but had lipstick on it and started an arguement with my wife.she later brought the nachos to our table and my wife asked her name and rudely she replied its Caroline Savo and im French and walked away to the bar swinging the door fiercefully and everyone just looked on.Another blond waitress was also stading in front of the bar in uniform and onduty kissing her boyfriend so we could not complain to anyone.we always go to this pub for drinks with friends but will now avoid. 

The female manager of the pub is rude, grumpy, miserable and obnoxious! She needs a good lesson in manners and customer service!!!

The chef is just as bad, if not worse, he complains when you order food, makes you feel bad for ordering certain dishes and when we complained threatened to ‘spit’ in it !!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t believe that such a nice venue has been brought down by miserable, rude, un-friendly and un-welcoming staff. It’s appalling !!!!

Quite expensive and gets packed very quickly due to size and shape. Staff always seem run off their feet and just want to serve you so that they can serve someone else.

Couldn't sit in garden because it was full. Sat in area with smokers, although we don't smoke. Moved ash tray aside as we had ordered food. Manager moved it back in spite of my objection. I moved it again to an area well away from any passing customers. "Where is it?" demanded the manager rudely. He then slammed it back on our table, still filthy. Our food then arrived but somehow we had lost our appetite!. This was the rudest example of customer service I have encountered for years.

If you want fast but poor service, a crowed environment and management that treats you with disdain if you complain about anything then this is the place for you. Certainly not somewhere to take business colleagues during the day and with far more enjoyable places in the area it is purely due to its location that it brings in a crowd. Could do a lot better if they just put some effort in.

Staff are friendly and helpfull, great comfortable place in all whethers. Food is amazing (esp the burgers). One of the best pubs in Crawley, thee best pub in town. Only annoying thing is it does get rammed on fri nights.

Good place to go after work. They have a really good lunchtime menu (a bit overpriced however). Also on a night out it’s a really good starting place

I came to this pub very recently. The pub itself is very comfortable and warm. For those of you who smoke, it has 2 patio areas where people are allowed to come out for a cigarette. The range of beers, wines and liqueurs are extensively good. The pub is clean and this includes the toilets. It has a big screen and the music plays just at the right level. It also has a pool table close to the toilet’s area. The staff could smile a bit more but I suppose at busy times this might be a hard thing to do so I don’t take this as a negative aspect. The pub offers food although 2 days ago when I visited, they were looking for a chef so I am not too sure I would be eating there 'till they have a proper chef.

This is a really nice pub to go to either after work or on a night out. It has a really nice beer garden which has recently been refurbished. The people that drink in here ranges from young to old. It has a pool table if you wanted a game of pool which might be a bit difficult after a few drinks!! In the winter there are seating areas by the log fire, which is a nice touch! The drinks are reasonably priced though I would avoid the house wine!! The toilet facilities could be improved but overall a really nice pub and definitely worth a visit. It has a really good atmosphere.

Comfortable area to hang out with friends after work. Food I have tried there is good. Staff provides excellent service and very polite. I had a soup that tasted a bit off today and was offered a new bowl of different soup immediately. Definitely one of my favourite pubs.
