Review of Junction 32 Outlet Shopping Village from 13 July 2011

Went for a skiing lesson at Xscape and decided to pop in as the centre is right next door. Picked up a great dress for a wedding for an absolute bargain at Monsoon and got great savings on kids' clothes at Next. Parking is brilliant (and free!) and the facilities on site are superb. Anyone who is after bargain should definitely head here.

I live local to the Jcn 32 outlet & since the road works have started it is a nightmare. You have traffic on every road near-by going or leaving the Xscape & the Asda store as well, I feel for all the businesses. The traffic management is poor, I will be going elsewhere.

i dont know how to rate the price on things.. but if u want to buy something from the highstreet which is expensive… your better off buying it from an outlet. the prices are probably at least 10% cheaper on what you want.

i bought a pair of nike trainers for 60pounds that where originally 90pounds if i was to get it from the highstreet. which is more than 10%off.

theres lots of different type of shop. and around the area is Xscape. and fast food chains. so u can eat before you shop.

A small designer outlet.
I have been visiting this outlet for a number of years.
When i first found this i was amazed at how cheap the designer items were, and picked up some bargins.
However the last few times i have been the savings are not that great, with some high street shops offering a better deal, along with cheap web sites.
There is also the food which has crept up in price.

Junction 32 Outlet formerly known as Freeport Castleford is a smallish outdoor shopping mall with limited appeal. Now it is good for particular items - I bought a very cheap good quality frying pan in Tefal, and the coffee in Tchibo is good too, but if you are browsing generally I don’t think this is a place you’ll go often - I would struggle to do a Christmas shop here for example. There are a lot of outlet shops as you would expect, don’t get sucked in by the word outlet, a lot of the shops are more expensive than the alternative for example in Cadbury its 5 bars of dairy milk for £1.20 when it’s £1 in most supermarkets - hardly an outlet is it! Good points are parking is free and it has its own train station. Bad points - will only take half an hour at most to walk round and there is only a burger king or an overpriced cafe to eat at.

Review of Junction 32 Outlet Shopping Village from 25 May 2009

because of its location just off the M62 and right next to the Xscape ski centre, this shopping centre gets really busy. There’s always plenty of parking available though, even if you do have to park in overflow and walk a bit, and best of all you don’t have to pay to park!

They promise up to 60% off high street prices, which means nothing really, as I’ve seen stuff for nearer to 95% off, but other stuff at full price. There are all the usual shops that you expect to find in one of these places, but this one has a few others as well.

The wife tells me that the Monsoon outlet is rare and one of the best features of the place. The M&S is also a good size and good for picking up bargains.

Toilets are absolutely foul, avoid them at all costs. The fountains and kids play area are a nice feature though.

I love this outlet village, mainly because it’s got a Monsoon discount store in it! As well as this, there are the usual shops that you always find in these places - M&S outlet & Next Clearance being the most notable, but quite a few smaller stores as well.

The layout is one large square which you walk around with shops on either side of you. There are features in each of the corners, with some lovely fountains which my 4yr old loves splashing in (despite the signs that say you’re not supposed to play in them…oops!) and a bit of a half-hearted attempt at a food court.

There’s free parking which does fill up quite quickly although there are overflows available if you don’t mind a bit of a trek. It’s right next door the the massive Xscape ski complex so there’s a great variety of restaurants there, plus things for the hubby & kids to do to leave the ladies to some pure hardcore shopping.

Retail heaven!

Handy location, just off the M62 at Junction 32 (Leeds is Jct 27-29) with plenty of parking and a decent range of shops.
As with any outlet centre J32 can be rather hit and miss.
Next and M&S usually has a wide and varied range of goods but some of the smaller brand shops (Mexx, Mango) tend to get stock in less frequently.
There’s also a good range of sportsgear, shoes and homewear.
The two shops I get the most out of are probably Claire’s accessories - with up to 60% off high street prices and no noticable difference in stock.
And Thornton’s choclates have some low-priced seconds - and who cares about chocolate shape when the flavour is so good?
In summer the outdoor area is great for kids to play while you get on with the shopping - or send them across the site to the Xscape centre for an hour of ice skating or a movie while you go shopping to your heart’s content.

Really good choice of shops and was very easy to find. There is plenty of parking and a wide choice of shops to look in. The places to eat are okay but some of the cafes can be a little expensive. There are a few shops with bargains to be found.

This is a pretty good place to go shopping, as you can sometimes pick up a bargain, as it is full of outlet shops, with reduced prices, such as Next, M&S, sports outlets, mango, etc. I think it is much better since Oasis opened, as I really have managed to pick up some great clothes there very cheap.

It’s safe for children to run around, as there aren’t any cars and there is a good playground area in the middle, although most of it isn’t suitable for younger kids (my boy is 2 1/2 and it’s quite scary as he wants to go on it all but isn’t big or strong enough).

There are also a number of coffee shops, for when you need a rest.

Great location (just off the M62 at Junstion 32) and lots of free parking, but the shopping is a bit hit and miss! some days you’re falling over yourself for bargains, other days you can go in every shop and only see rubbish! But I guess you could say that of any outlet village.
The variety of shops in pretty good, there is a big Next outlet, and lots of other fashion stores as well as some shops selling things for the home. The last good bargain I got was a pair of Ugg boots from 'Daniel’ shoes, they weren’t all that cheap but they were a good price for genuine Uggs.
Another good thing about Junction 32 is that it doesn’t normally get too busy : )

The website states that at Junction 32 you can save up to 60% off rrp all year round on a huge range of products including ladies and mens fashions, childrenswear and toys, sportswear, homewares, books, music, accessories and much more. There are over 90 stores. I personally think a lot of the stuff is pure junk that no one could shift there are great bargins to be had in the nike store where I picked up a full track suit for mere 20 pounds and the next store is great for kids clothes all year round. In the centre is a huge outdoor play area which is great to help stop your kids getting bored if there not huge fans of shopping. Parking is free but the carpark does get very busy at weekends.

Used to be called Freeport, outside shopping area. Has a small playground in the middle, next to Burger King. My favourite shops are the Next, Gap, Monsoon, Whittards & M&S Outlets. Right next to Xscape.
