Jacksons Lane is an award winning theatre well known for putting on high quality visual theatre, it does circus and puppetry very well and the first show I saw in this quaint little venue, a converted church, did not disappoint.
The theatre is not the most central to get too or at least not for us south of the river dwellers but worth the journey. It is situated in Highgate on the latter end of the northern line but the good thing is that once you come out of the tube station it is on the same road, a minute to your left.
Although the space has the capacity to only hold 160+, it is deceptively spacious inside which is probably helped by the high ceilings.
They also run a thriving community engagement programmed with a huge variety of courses for all sections of the community. A recent addition is the theadro cafe which has a good range of freshly prepared items and vegetarians are well catered for.

Jacksons Lane arts centre is housed in an imaginatively converted listed Edwardian church in Highgate. It contains a 167 seat theatre host to many dynamic and innovative fringe performances, an 80 capacity dance studio, a stunning spring-floored dance rehearsal studio, two activity rooms and a foyer space also housing a cafe and bar.
