Jollyes Petfood Superstore

Jollyes is a large pet superstore in Fallowfield. In my opinion it's one of the best in the area. Most of the floor space caters for cats and dogs but they stock food and accessories for smaller animals and birds too. (On one shelf I spotted swan food! I wonder who buys that?)

I have two cats and so go in solely for cat food, litter and biscuits. It's good value for money, especially if you purchase in bulk. The staff will carry it to your car for you if you need help. In addition to the main brands they have a section called 'Cat Luxury Menu' which stocks the more expensive stuff like Sheba, Gourmet etc.

The dog section is something else. A Dog Deli displays dog beer and turkey and cranberry biscuits. I kid you not. But for the pooch with more average tastes there's a huge selection of dry and tinned food.

A great place for all your pet staples, treats and accessories.

As far as pet stores go, this is pretty big. It’s more of a warehouse to be fair than a high street Pet shop you rarely see these days. Prices are good - we got a bargain on a fairly large aquarium for our ever expanding goldfish (honestly, they’ll be the size of dolphins soon enough). For around £50 we got this large tank with filters, lights, medicine and food thrown in - and it’s not a bad looking tank by any means.
I’ve used to only been able to keep hold of fish (i.e. keep them alive) for a few weeks but these little fella’s and fellases (I’ve no idea how to 'sex’ them so to speak) have been with us (they were my daughter before I was bequeathed with the task of nurturing them). The staff are more than friendly and really make an effort to give you great customer service (which doesn’t seem standard across the board unfortunately).
This is situated next to Blockbuster and Sainsburys on the mini shopping 'parade’ in Fallowfield.
