Review of Alfresco from 25 July 2011

I just love this place on the sea front of Brighton.

Me and my friends meet here every summer for a get together and the food and service never fails to impress…a must visit if you pop to Brighton

Review of Alfresco from 9 July 2011

Reviewed using iPhone. Get the app

Popped on here for drinks stop and a bite to eat, very suprised how large it was inside. We were directed down stairs as we only really wanted drinks, then noticed the light bite selection and opted for two margarita pizzas, to share with my husband and two boys. They were fabulous. The size of a large dinner plate was ideal to share. Could have sat for ages and watched the world go by along the sea front. Massive panoramic view windows would go again when I visit Brighton.
Price wise it's about average we had two teas, coke and still water with two pizzas £27.05

Alfresco is a great restaurant in a lovely location right on the sea front. I went with my husband recently and the food was lovely and service excellent.

Review of Alfresco from 4 November 2010

I cannot fault the service my husband and I experienced whilst dealing with the event managament team in the lead upto and during our wedding reception. The family run Alfresco was accomodating, even in my bridezilla state, and allowed us to fulfil the dreams I had of my wedding day. Great food and a great location. I will def make the effort to visit more often. Thankyou so much.

Ive eaten in Alfresco more times than I can remember, it is a great place offering fantastic views and great customer service. The menu changes with the seasons and the chef has created some inspired dishes. Considering the capacity of Alfresco the menu is daring but is managed appropriately. I cannot fault Alfresco at all. Top place, great people, fantastic view and good food. What more can you ask for. Alfresco is Brighton exemplified.

I am a regular customer at Alfresco, my family and I love visiting. We have always found the food and service to be excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Alfresco as the best restaurant that Brighton has to offer for food, service, views and ambience.

Review of Alfresco from 30 June 2010

This place relies upon its prime situation to keep it's tables filled with tourists. I doubt anybody would come back a second time.

The food was atrocious - stodgy pasta - it was like eating student food. But bad food wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't priced as if it was good.

The staff gave off an aura of really not giving a toss about us or the place or probably even themselves.

Don't go here.

davibo_ This place is situated in a great location and prides itself on serving good quality Italian food. Pasta is a carbohydrate, you have mistaken the stodgyness for actually feeling full at the end of a hearty meal. Alfresco is a nice place, the staff well mannered and food is of a good quality.

Review of Alfresco from 4 January 2010

I have lived in Brighton for nearly 20 years, and Alfresco's is probably one of THE WORST choices of Restaurants you can make in Brighton. It has a great view, but just about average food which is very expensive for what you get. Also they have REALLY REALY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Olives are served with pips. Last time I had a pizza there I cracked my tooth on such a pip and had to pay 80£ for an emergency treatment and 350£ for a crown. The waiter (and owner) did not even apologize or offered me a glass of water to wash my mouth or considered some sort of compensation. I was told that I have to live with the fact that Olives have pips. Well fish has bones, but I assume they are removed before serving…
Anyway there are many good restaurants in Brighton, so don’t do the same mistake I did, and go to this TOURIST TRAP because of the view and it is getting cold. You will be disappointed!!!!
For food, go up Preston Street (just opposite up the hill) and there are many more restaurants to chose from, including Italian. For a drink and a view carry on towards HOVE until the Bandstand and go to the café below. Both options are less then 5 mins away. DO NOT GO TO ALFRESCO’S!!!!

davibo_ No way, stones in an olive? That must mean they are fresh, unprocessed good olives. Sounds quite normal to me. I have been to a number of top eateries and thats pretty much the standard for olives. Fish? bones? Again sounds pretty normal practice to me. This is a fab place to eat, yes it gets busy, yes the staff may get stressed, but its busy because it is good. I would suggest you go to McDonalds or somewhere similar.

Review of Alfresco from 23 November 2008

The Alfresco terrace in summer treats you to amazing views across the sea, especially when the sun is setting. The food is very tasty and the servers freindly and efficient. On the ground floor there is a bar which spreads out onto the beach and so makes a greta place to go with friends.

This is a very friendly and relaxed place to go - better I think early evening while the sun sets. It’s clean simple fresh food and the ambience and the quick friendly staff make this the best place to have a meal before a walk along the seafront or a concert of some sort.

Review of Alfresco from 18 November 2008

I love this place, this is mine! Outside, inside, daytime, evening, with a friend, parent, or solo, I go there whenever I can. Plenty of outside space onto our magnificent beach, roomy inside with a wonderful window wall. Surprisingly at such a trendy looking place, the staff are very willing to help. Recommended.

Review of Alfresco from 17 November 2008

Great location literally on Brighton Beach.

If it’s warm enough you can dine on the roof terrace literally looking out to sea - but if not it’s still very nice inside. Food is great and reasonably priced given it’s stunning location.

The lower area is a bar during the summer - and the whole lower room can be hired out for private parties.

Review of Alfresco from 3 November 2008

Superb and classy place to dine with friends or with 2 people. The food is high class and served neatly on the plates. The main advantage is that you get the seaview of brighton beach, which is always nice day or night (and even at sunset). The waiters are also quick and friendly.
